”Loved the view and proximity to town and wineries. We had the suite which was nice to have a seperate sleeping and hangout space. TV was hit or miss with reception, but we weren't there to sit in the hotel room. Property is a bit dated, but the staff is super helpful and friendly. It's also nice to have a restaurant/bar on site after a long day hiking.”

”Outstanding location. Just cannot be beat. Generally clean for the obvious things like floors but the second level cleaning really hurts, like window casings haven’t been touched in a very long time, and they don’t stay open unless you prop them up with a shoe or book. Very bare basic room. Bathroom was pretty good tho Wifi—we were not given a code and therefore could not access it. Seems strange. Or is it even there?”

”This hotel is ok for the price and for a one night stay. There were a few ants in the bathroom and not the most comfortable bed. Location is not the best - not convenient to restaurants or entertainment. Staff were very friendly and the overall cleanliness was good.”

The selection could have been better, but it was sufficient for a quick breakfast. Overall, it was a fine. The cleanliness and updated condition of the hotel were the highlights.”

”This hotel was amazing! You could bring your groceries here for a week and never have to leave your room, and the room was beautiful! So big!!! If you do decide to leave, its location is excellent! Walking distance to many bars and shops and Watkins Glen State Park which is a must visit! We would definitely recommend the Benjamin!”

”This was a great old mansion that has been restored. Jen was a wonderful host. She gave good suggestions for things to do in the area. She also served a wonderful breakfast each morning. There was plenty of coffee in the upstairs guest kitchen as well as tasty homemade treats. It was quiet and that was nice. You should be aware that since this is an old house, there is no elevator and all the guest rooms are on the second floor. There's also lots of stairs from the house to your car. ...
