”Friendly staff and comfortable stay”

”If I could rate it 0 stars I would!! The sheets were absolutely disgusting (see photos) Bathroom cleanliness was also sub par. I do not recommend this hotel & I would never stay here again!!”

”Very friendly staff, good bed, clean room, would stay again.”

”Nice place to stay”

”My family and I, enjoyed our stay at Portman's... The rooms were very clean. The shops are very close including restaurants. I will stay there again next time.”

”Although the unit we stayed in was compact, it was perfectly laid out and furnished. The standard of the kitchen equipment, crockery and cutlery was much better than anywhere I've stayed. The furniture, bedding and general styling was done very thoughtfully across the bathroom, bedroom, kitchen and living room to make the whole place comfortable and sumptuous. Its location in a quiet cul-de-sac near the centre of town was just right.”

”Avoid this place! All they want is to get your money and then ignore whatever problems you have! I stayed for 3 days, for 3 days there was no hot water in my room, everyday I complained and everyday they’d tell me it was fixed. At the end I was told I would get some refund and then never heard back, never answer my calls I was told to avoid this place by others I work with however I didn’t listen. I highly recommend staying at the local pubs or caravan park”

”Excellent stay! The cabin is clean and tidy. The wood burning heater kept the place toasty and the beds were comfortable and warm. The location is beautiful with spectacular views and there was lots of wildlife and cows around for viewing.Dean is an excellent host and his communication was great.Already looking forward to next year!”

”We had an Amazing stay..very spacious and clean...everything says on the listing is absolutely accurate!Dean the host is spot on.Will definitely come back .P ”

”We stayed in room 10 aircon didn’t work properly. Room was very hot and uncomfortable. Reception came to look fiddled around with it, didn’t help. We went back and told them, they said we can’t change rooms, even though it wasn’t booked out. The milk in the room was off and out of date. They have a leak in the bathroom, floor was alway wet. Would never stay here again. ”

”very comfortable and well equipped house. The pool was great for the hot days.”

”A beautiful home away from home, George couldn’t have been more accomodating and friendly, we felt ever so welcome and our city Kelpie X dog was where he should have always been bought up, in his element. The pub does a great meal and whilst in the beautiful country, there is so much nearby, great food, lovely country shops and many things to see. This is where we will go when we need to step back from it all and be reminded about what’s important. Thank you George, we will be back and...
