"I stayed at this hotel three years ago and had such a great experience that I recommended it to others. That was also the reason we decided to come back.
Unfortunately, this stay was quite different. The location is still excellent, and the room was beautiful and comfortable, but overall the experience felt more ordinary this time.
The breakfast was the biggest disappointment. Three years ago, the freshly squeezed orange juice and waffle maker made it feel special and different from a typical hotel breakfast. This time, the selection was fine, but it felt like just another standard hotel breakfast.
The sauna was also a disappointment. There were hardly any stones left on the sauna stove, which didn’t feel safe, and there wasn’t even a bucket for throwing water on the stove. The sauna clearly needs some attention.
There were also a few smaller maintenance issues in the room, such as the broken security lock, missing “Do Not Disturb” sign, empty soap dispenser, a blocked bathroom sink drain and towels not being replaced.
It’s a shame, as I had such a good experience here before and was happy to return. I hope the hotel can bring back some of the little details that made the previous stay so memorable."
