”Property was little old but staff was supportive and kind. You could hear other rooms people easily that was the only drawback , else everything was good .”

”This property is advertised as dog friendly but it’s absolutely not dog friendly! Upon check in you’re given a document to sign that states that your pet is NOT allowed on the furniture or bedding and if they find ANY fur on either you will be charged an undisclosed cleaning fee. After showing this to my husband we chose not to stay. He went to the desk and asked for a refund of the room and pet fee. He was told that the manager was gone for the day and that she would issue a refund. One week...

”The staff was very friendly and helpful. We chose this property because it was the only traditional hotel within walking distance of an event we were attending (Franklin Blues and BBQ Festival) so the rates were probably higher than normal. Our biggest complaint was the free hot breakfast. All 3 mornings were the same. Tasteless sausage patties and scrambled eggs. A handful of high carb offerings. Weak coffee and rock hard butter. The problem with Franklin is there are no restaurants "downtown"...

”Our room appeared clean until I went into bathroom and found hair on the vanity, so I cleaned it myself. As I was getting into the shower I grabbed the floormat and it was soaked and again had hair on it. I had called the desk for extra pillows and when she came I had showed her the bathroom and bathmat she offered to bring me a new and that was all! No care if our room was actually cleaned! Will not recommend!”

”A poor excuse for a hotel. The shower and the bathroom sink didn’t work well, the shower curtain was filthy, and the bath towel was the size of a hand towel. There was only one available outlet in the room, and one of the inputs was too loose to hold a plug. The sliding glass door was very hard to open and almost impossible to lock, and the curtain barely reached across the window/door. The staff was practically nonexistent. There were not enough towels, no coffee maker, and the “breakfast”...

”Beautiful little cabin. Quiet and serene, peaceful location. Was busy with family in nearby towns. Wish I would have had more time to "veg" out at the cabin. Perfect get-a-way, take a good book and a bottle of wine. ”

”We had a fantastic weekend staying at the cabin. We caught fish in the pond, the walk around the pond was about a mile or so . Firepit was great , plenty of firewood. Great location . Friendly community . Would definitely stay again! ”

”My sister and I return to the River House every fall. The hosts, David & Betsy, are wonderful. A large rain storm came the day of our scheduled departure and we requested an extension to our reservation. They generously agreed and made the extra night complimentary. This year we saw four eagles fishing on the river. Emlenton is a cute, quiet town with everything a visitor needs. Great stay!!!”
