”From start to end of booking and stay was seamless. Communication was fast and efficient, and so helpful considering I was arriving very late and checking out very early. Just what I needed to help me rest on my travels.”

”When you drive up to the lodge, you think "What did I book myself into?" But once you get inside everything is fine. The AC definitely works, and the room has everything you need. A train does run behind the motel, but doesn't go often and doesn't sound it's whistle. The shower was a bit basic but it worked. You have to drive downtown to find a restaurant.”

”We got the ship room, with balcony - quirky but very dated. The lower part of the boat is quite humid - at night you must close all windows unless you want milllion bugs in your room, so no way to sit outside and enjoy the stars but during the day the views are so pretty. Overall, fun for the kids , clean and ok for 1 night, expensive though ”

”The lovely, friendly, man at the desk was very welcoming, and offered great advice on what was in the area to visit, etc, i.e. attractions and eateries. For our one night stay, the unit was very clean, tidy, comfortable, and offered everything we needed. We will be back again and would love to stay longer. Thank you xxx”

”The room was very musty and art decor on the walls had a layer of dust on them. Bed mattress was old and lumpy. We booked two nights but only stayed one. Would not recommend this and hopefully they'll refurbish the facility. ”

”Fantastic Apartment, nicely furnished. Location was amazing, very peaceful and quiet. Nice and close to waitomo caves, and 10 minutes from either Te Kuiti or Otorohanga. Brenda and Andrew were lovely hosts. The dogs were very kind, esepcially Tilly, she demands many belly rubs. The recently installed Air-Con was a godsend for summer time. My Fiancee and I had a wonder 2 nights here. ”

”If you are looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and truly reconnect with nature, this is the perfect place. The views are absolutely stunning, and the atmosphere is so tranquil. It’s an ideal spot to bring a group of friends for a long getaway to just relax and recharge. ​Just a heads-up: the location is quite remote and the mountain roads can be a bit challenging to navigate.
