”This is a wonderful place. From the setting in the woods on a clear river, to the cabin with every need already in place, to very gracious hosts, it is a destination that we will want to come back to again and again. Full amenities in the kitchen allowed us to eat in, in the evenings and breakfast in the mornings. Charmingly decorated as a country cabin should be. ”We had a wonderful stay at the Spotted Grouper. The cottage is quiet and peaceful, and the sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico were beautiful. We enjoyed walking on the beach, collecting shells, and really appreciated how close to nature the area is — including an unexpected bear sighting!We stayed in December, which was a great time to visit: cool and chilly mornings and evenings, with sunny, comfortably warm days. ”Our family had a great time. There was plenty of space for everyone to be alone when they needed it, but absolutely plenty of space to come together. Kitchen was fully stocked with all of the pots/pans/utensils needed. The house is right on the water with convenient access. The front yard was perfect for our dog. The beach amenities were great. Contact with the host was quick and easy. We loved it and would love to come back. ”
