”This was our 2nd stay at Hotel Fort Des Moines in 6 weeks. The rooms are nicely laid out. Comfortable bed and good climate control during winter temps. I like the extra bathroom counter space which is well thought out for a smaller space. Love the historic building, deserves the love it has received from this hotel operator.”

”I had to extend my stay several times and the staff accommodated me just fine. Also the whirlpool, sauna and steam room and fitness/exercise rooms in the lower level are excellent [the sauna and steam weren't always on and heated up when I went down but maybe I was the first for the day = I didn't want to wait so enjoyed the whirlpool]”

”Bathroom door track in rm 210 is faulty. Bathroom door does not close all the way”

”Room was clean, but had a very musty smell to it as did the entire hotel. We came in one night after a very long day and there was an entire beverage spilled on the elevator floor. No efforts were made to clean it except a “wet floor” sign. The next morning we get packed up for another long day only to find the elevator was STILL wet and sticky. ”

”It was a nice stay but the room itself looked kinda in the older side. The lighting wasn’t the best but overall I had a great stay ”

”Wasn’t aware the parking lot was blocked off until we got there. No AC in any rooms on arrival (staff trying to fix it). Think it was fixed, fan super loud. ”

”Great stay! Very clean, everything was well, beds were super comfy. Only down I would say is I couldn’t connect Disney+ for my boys but other than that I would definitely book again!”

”The room appeared nice and clean. Pleasant smell when you walked into the room. Accessible shower and chair for showering. High toilet. I'm a wheelchair user. Plenty of space in the restroom. Bed was comfy-ish for a hotel. Pillows were soft. Breakfast offered a decent variety. We had a pleasant stay.”
