”The Fortress Resort and Spa is a five-star hotel. It boasts a prime location—if your travel destination is the famous "stilt fishermen," several such sites are just a two-minute walk from the hotel. From the hotel grounds, guests can enjoy panoramic, spectacular views of the ocean. The hotel offers top-notch service and world-class facilities. Its restaurant, however, is merely average; the variety of food available does not quite justify the price point.”

”I had a really lovely stay at Ocean Bliss by Sugar Co-living in Weligama. The property has a beautiful beachfront atmosphere with a calm, boho-style design that feels very different from a normal hotel. The rooms are clean, cozy, and nicely designed, with a relaxed coastal feeling. The best part is the location. ”We had a very nice stay for two nights. Both pools are excellent, staff are very friendly, the room was clean and had modern amenities. Breakfast was excellent however, we had lunch at the hotel one day and it was only okay. There are a few monkeys around the property however, most never come into the actual hotel. For note, the hotel is based on top of a hill which is a very steep climb. While there is an outdoor lift for luggage and personal use, it does operate very slowly so the stairs...

”Our stay in the garden villa was really great. It was clean and spacious with a semi outdoor bathroom. The pool area was straight in front of the ocean so you could watch the waves from your sunbed. Surf board hire was cheap with a large range of boards. Drinks were cheap and food yummy.”

”The villa was in a fabulous location right on a beach with clean, golden sand. The villa’s bedrooms were spacious, clean and each had its own on suite. Our extended family of 14 enjoyed the deck near the large swimming pool and also the deck chairs near the water. The staff looked after us like royalty and the chef and kitchen staff cooked us some delicious food. All in all we had an amazing week at South Point Villa and I thoroughly recommend it as an excellent place to stay.”
