The Lancaster Hotel is perfectly located in downtown Houston, especially if you’re visiting the Theater District. The complimentary breakfast was a pleasant surprise, offering higher-quality items than you’d normally expect, along with a nice selection of hot teas. One small suggestion would be to include oat or almond milk/creamer options for coffee.
After a show, we enjoyed dessert and drinks at the hotel restaurant, which was a great way to end the evening. The front desk and valet staff were consistently friendly and welcoming.
Our room was a bit on the smaller side, but we appreciated the thoughtful touches—two macarons on arrival and a complimentary non-alcoholic beverage bar that included Perrier, mini bottled water, assorted canned sodas, and orange juice. We also received a bag of Zapp’s chips. The photos mentioned “snacks,” but the large drawer was empty, so housekeeping may have missed a restock.
Overall, it was a great stay, especially with the points discount on the room. We would definitely consider staying here again for its location, service, and charming details.
