A charming 18th-century gîte in the Val de Chambord, at the gateway to Chambord

Between the Loire and Sologne, our cottages in the "VAL DE CHAMBORD" are located in the countryside, 200 m from the entrance to the Parc de Chambord with a view of the Park and its surrounding wall, on the route of the castles by bike and hiking trails, 12 km from Blois and Cheverny.
Our cottage "le CHAI" is one of the 3 cottages of the farmhouse "Le Val de Chambord", an old winegrower's farm of the eighteenth century.
Located above the cellar of the property, this semi-detached house on one side is a cozy former workshop of 60 m² recently renovated combining authenticity, comfort, modernity and can accommodate up to 4 people.
From the common courtyard allowing you to easily park your vehicle, you access a private garden of 200m2 and a terrace allowing you to enter the cottage. The house consists on the first floor of a room of 30 m2 with a living-dining room and open kitchen equipped (dishwasher, oven, classic filter coffee maker, Tassimo espresso coffee machine, kettle). The living room is equipped with a 140 sofa bed for 2 people (slatted bed base and 15 cm thick mattress).
On the 1st floor, there is a landing leading to the bedroom with a 160 cm bed, a cosy vestibule, a walk-in shower room and WC.
Free internet access in the cottage.
Minimum stay of 2 nights on weekends / 3 nights on weekdays and school holidays and 7 nights in July and August.

"End of stay cleaning" is added to your stay. However, this service does not exclude the general good maintenance of the cottage and the return of the tidy cottage, (if the sheet option is taken: sheets removed and placed in a specific bag). In case of non-compliance with the rules, an additional charge may be requested.

ECO GESTURES: As part of energy sobriety, we ask you to respect the simple gestures to reduce energy and water consumption on a daily basis.

*Set the heating to 19°C in the living rooms and 16°C at night in the bedrooms
*Turn off or put the radiators in frost protection as soon as you are away and at the end of your stay
*Turn off all other devices on or off when not in use.
*Shift the use of electrical appliances outside peak periods (8 a.m. to 1 p.m. / 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.) and to schedule "washing machine and dishwasher" type appliances in off-peak time slots – 9:00 p.m. to 0:00 a.m. – 2:00 a.m. –
*Run the washing machine or dishwasher only when the machine is full and preferably choose a short or economical program (40°).
*Spend less time in the shower

Each of us has the power to reduce electricity consumption by adopting simple gestures. Counting in advance for your vigilance and involvement.
