”This is a gem in the heart of Ollantaytambo! I came here after having experience a not-so-well checkin experience elsewhere, but Meda at the reception was so kind and accomodating. The checkin was smooth, the room is decent for a one-night stay (as I did) and the common areas are so beautiful! Besides the great mountain views, I was more impressed by their service during my checkout. I had to leave way early to catch the train leading to Machu Picchu, which would have meant that i had to skip...

”My favorite hotel experience of our entire Peru trip. I highly recommend Melissa Wasi! The locale was amazing. The view of the mountains, the flowers around the hotel, the friendly dogs on premises, everything was magical. I did not want to leave! It was a chilly night when we were there, but firewood was right outside our door and the fire kept us warm and cozy. The owners were amazing people and helped us in any way we asked. We were there the night that Peru played Brazil in the final...

”Nice place run by a kind and helpful couple. Close to the centre of town, but quiet. It’s not possible to drive up to the hotel by car, but it’s just a short walk. Nice view of ruins and mountains from the window. ”

”Very empty hotel. It seems no other guests during our stay. The reception barely speak English. They can not arrange any taxi pickup or tour around the town. At checkout, we were informed they only accept cash payment, even though the expedia receipt say payment collected by hotel. I checked my bank statement which is not charged, so we paid cash and get a hand written receipt.”
