”What a cute suite! Right on the corner, we could see the bay and people watch. There is a corner store across the street and a great deli/takeaway downstairs. This was just what we needed after a long day in the car. We were lucky with the weather but I think it would be lovely no matter when you visit. ”

”We loved staying at Don Muir. Caroline was helpful, responsive and just a nice lady. Instructions were clear and she provided a nice little complimentary breakfast basket in our spotless room. Free parking is nearby, but you can unload and load right at her place.The walk to downtown Oban is about 15 minutes one way. We were happy to walk as parking in Oban was not great. Bed was very comfy and shower was great. ”

”I had a 2 night business trip so cost was important. The cost was within my allocated budget. The room was well kitted out. Kettle, fridge, ironing facilities, coffee,tea, table to work at, comfortable bed and a tv. Even had a clock alarm at side of bed and a hairdryer. Towels aplenty and a wonderful high pressure shower. I am sure I have not included everything but would highly recomend this guest house to anyone in oban for a short stay.”

”Arbour Guesthouse is a simple place but it's clean and it's a good value (considering that accomodations in Oban are a bit pricy). We regretted though that the "double bed" was only 120 cm and not properly advertised as sub-standard. It would be nice as well to have good curtains (blackout and down to the floor) as up north the sun rises very early in summer.”

”We had a two night stay at 2 stones. Ben greeted us and was very welcoming, friendly & informative. We had a fabulous view looking out over loch Long. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. A decent sized bathroom although the shower was a little 'snug'. There was traffic noise from the road but it didn't affect our stay. Breakfast was fabulous with plenty of choices. We would definitely return.”

”Handy for Rothsey, and a lovely old building. My room was facing the harbour and an interesting view. Tired in places, chair was very wobbly, and doors etc as you would expect in a property of this age. However, the retro-fitted en-suite was good, and nice and clean. Felt like carpet had not been hovered. The Scottish breakfast was nice and not too overwhelming. Just right. The guys running the place were really friendly and polite.”
