”It's briefly mentioned that the hotel provides a shuttle service, and it worked out to be really useful. They had a regular schedule running between the izukyu-shimoda JR station and the shuttle. We got a room with a balcony with a "partial sea view", which turned out to be a fantastic view to the bay! The breakfast at the in-house french restaurant, The Pheonix, was moderate, but the dinner in the Japanese restaurant was really good. The pool was nice, and had great views to offer from the...

”Excellent hotel on the beach. Very nice clean room. Staff are very helpful and kind. Would definitely come back.”

”Absolutely lovely. Felt like I was staying with family. Quick walk to the gorgeous beach, next to a beautiful shrine, and a short walk from a delicious Ramen place. Not to mention the Onsen!!! What a magical experience it was to enjoy the outdoors and soak. And last but not least the breakfast! Felt like my mom made me lunch for the day. Absolutely would recommend to anyone staying in the area.”

”The staff was very helpful. It was a stormy afternoon when we arrived. The hotel is right by the Shirahama beach( 2 minutes’ walk). Our room was on the top floor with ocean view, and we could see the sunrise and watch the surfers catching the waves. There is a 7-Eleven and Family Mart nearby. The room was very spacious. If you booked a Japanese-style room, you have to make your futon bed yourself. The futon was very comfortable !!! I didn’t get a chance to use the onsen as I have a tattoo, but...

”I had a great nights sleep here. I would visit again.”

”Beautiful traditional property.”

”This hotel did not match the pictures. It has not been maintained and has some water issue causing an odd odor in the hotel. It smelled like mildew throughout. The carpet had holes and in the area leading to the dining room walls were open to the jungle behind the hotel. Staff was nice but we were charged extra upon arriving. More than 500 dollars for my son. This was not expected. I asked to leave in that case and they said they would still charge me the whole amount. Do not book this...

”Very nice small Hotel. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We stayed at the annex and had a nice room with a balcony and a lovely view.”

”good staff”

”ビーチの眺めが良く、スパもリラックスできました。”

”Wonderful stay at a quiet hotel in Shimoda. A little dated and a little far away from the main town but beautiful views, helpful and friendly staff and an amazing ocean view onsen. My partner and I got a traditional Japanese room which was very spacious and comfortable.”

”Huone haisi aivan käsittämättömän pahalle. Ilmeisesti koko hotelli on kärsinyt kosteusvaurioista laajastikin. ”
