”It’s a Hyatt Regency, and this one is very consistent with the high standard of the brand. My only quibble is more about Irvine, which is so car-oriented. You can walk from the hotel in the sense that there are sidewalks, but there is nothing - stores, restaurants, etc. - within walking distance. Just a couple office buildings (great if you have business with JP Morgan, Charles Schwab, or K&L Gates). And the $42/night parking fee is probably consistent with the market but it’s a pretty...

”I do not understand why I there is a $30 parking fee when there is no garage or security gate and plenty of parking spaces! I think the hotel chain should disclose these charges to prospective guests before they make a reservation.”

”Every time I use Expedia and stay at this hotel, I always get a room by an elevator. I asked not to have one, but they told me it was the only room they had left. Also, my room was not very clean with dirt and hair on the bathroom floor. No extra toilet paper. Not the best day I’ve had at this Marriott.”

”Great location for my needs. Clean room, comfortable bed, nice shower etc. Parking next to the building, but easy access through the back of the building (access using the card key). ”

”I checked in desperately needing rest and asked for a quiet room and the head of my bed was next to the elevator shaft! Ugh! The hotel staff did apologize and make amends and now I know to look out for that in the future. I was over the moon with the view of the room which over looked the courtyard and had a cute faux fireplace and couch in it. The bed's very comfortable. The pillows were great as well. The patio has a great happy hour (I think it's a great OC secret) but be careful to ask...
