”We stayed for four nights in the jungle lodge with ocean view. The lodge and view were excellent. The lodge is rustic but comfortable, with excellent air conditioning, clean bedrooms and bathroom. We got a kick out of the outdoor showers! The staff were helpful and attentive, however, the primary way of communicating is via WhatsApp and the responsiveness and clarity could use improvement. ”Pillows could be changed”

”Surfari was a great place to stay. The breakfast was really good and we slept well as there was not that much noises from the streets (sometimes heavy rain, barking dogs or a rooster crowning woke us up). The staff were really nice and helpful. Rooms were very basic, quite small, but clean and hot water in the shower was a great value. There were 2 kitchens where you can prepare your own meals with lots of kitchen equipments.”

”This was a fabulous place to stay. We had a partial ocean view room, and the view from the balcony was beautiful. The air conditioning was very good, and the hotel had bright, modern design with incredibly welcoming and friendly staff. Cafe overlooking the bay was also nice.”

”Pool was not only closed but there were people in it running jackhammers starting at 8:00 AM. When I asked to be let out of my reservation I was told that I should have seen the word pool crossed out in the hotel description (forget the photo of a full pool). My bathroom sink did not have hot water and the bathroom smelled in general. Wish I had stayed somewhere else.”

”Avoid this hotel if you can! Staff was not friendly at all. Send them a message two and a half weeks before my stay and never received an answer. Rooms are very basic. Shower was clogged.”

”Eclypse del Mar is a uniquely, beautiful location. We stayed both in the overwater bungalows and the treehouse so we were able to enjoy the ocean and forest views. We were thrilled to be able to feed the fish through the opening in the living room floor of the bungalow. The staff is so welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Rashi, JJ and Francesca made us feel right at home. We had some of the best animal sightings at the reserve, including a mother sloth, travelling the treetops with its twins...
