It was cute and quiet, the owners were so welcoming and kind — eggs from their hens, some wood to make a campfire, a path to the river to explore…if you have kids, there’s a fabulous ice cream shop nearby with a fire truck you can sit in (it also has a slide!). Crystal Lake is nearby, and the cabin is located between Jay Peak and Burke Mountain, so it’s really great for outdoor enthusiasts. The cabin is on a quiet street with a sidewalk, which my toddler loved for riding...

”We managed to be lucky enough to book this cabin just as all of the leaves turned so it was like being in a painting. The land is beautiful to walk and the views are amazing. The cabin itself is very cozy and has great character. The kitchen was very convenient and I loved cooking on that stove, and the bathroom was clean and well kept as well. It was great to unplug, read, and relax for a while. Hopefully we will be able to go back again.”

”We loved this property: On the trails, close to the village, the open floor plan allowed us to all interact, the huge deck was great for hanging out! We loved the fire pit and the entire laid back "Cabin"! This is a perfect place to stay if your a rowdy, beer drinking group of MTB'ers! We have stayed in over 10 properties in East Burke every September and this was one of our favorites!!!!”

”We stayed here for the eclipse of 2024. Upon arriving, we were blown away by the incredible view. Then, stepping inside to a spotless kitchen and living room confirmed we made the right choice. Morning coffee outside around the firepit gave way to a walk and then afternoon of eclipse watching. The kitchen is well-organized and appointed so making meals was a breeze and delight. ”Beautiful views and plenty of space in this lakeside house and cottage. There were 6 of us and the space was perfect. Even though the weather didn't cooperate we made the best of it. Lots of games and fun! Loved the porches for our morning coffee. Living area was nice and cozy with plenty of seating. ”I wasn't sure what to expect of the Seymour Lake Lodge when I booked it on Hotels.com. Was I pleasantly surprised! It is an old converted farmhouse, with tons of character, and all the modern conveniences. The room was adequate and comfortable, the view of the lake was stunning, both from my room, and the large front porch! A huge yard for walking my dog. Had lengthy conversations with the property manager and another guest. One of my most memorable stays.”
