Welcome to the Artist's Retreat, a beautiful and quaint 1 bedroom cape home directly on the Cayuga Inlet, once a studio for a renowned Ithaca artist. Enjoy watching the Cornell and IC rowing teams in the morning, seeing eagles and herons in the afternoon, and the 2-minute drive to restaurants, bars, and downtown in the evening! A wonderful loft bedroom offers a bright, airy feeling while still being cozy and comfortable. A pull-out chair and murphy bed are offered to give more sleeping options.
The space
We are happy to offer this property with no checkout chores. No need to strip beds, take trash to the curb, or clean prior to your departure. Simply arrive and enjoy your stay! This property was once a studio for a famous and renowned Ithaca artist. Offering plenty of light, beautiful inlet views, a bright and airy feel. The property is a beautiful and cozy open concept with a loft bedroom, private kitchen, and modern bathroom. Downstairs, a pull-out twin loveseat and queen murphy bed are also available to offer more flexibility. In the backyard, you'll find a deck perfect for enjoying the views and a grill for those summer cookouts. The yard is spacious and you can walk right up to the inlet!

In the kitchen, you will find a chef's paradise- a fully stocked spice rack, quality kitchen knives, ample pots, pans, plates, bowls, cutlery, toaster, microwave, electric stove, oven, fridge, freezer, a full coffee bar, and more! The laundry machine is also located in the kitchen. Off of the kitchen is the bathroom with a standing shower, sink, storage, and bidet! From there you enter the living room which includes an HD smart TV, a very comfy three-person couch, a chair that pulls out into a twin bed, and a murphy queen bed. A sliding door will take you from the living room to the back deck, where you can enjoy the beautiful inlet, outdoor dining, or just watch the rowing team fly by during practice. Moving upstairs, the main bedroom is a very cozy loft with a queen bed, a chair, storage trunk, closet, and a view of the inlet.
Guest access
Ample parking is available onsite, with space for 3-4 cars. The neighborhood is located right on Floral Ave, so it is a very quick drive to Ithaca, all while having the peaceful feeling that only comes from being outside of the city. Wegmans and other grocery stores, Cornell and IC, parks, waterfalls, wineries, breweries, and restaurants are just minutes away. The Black Diamond Trail also starts right by the home, which is perfect for a scenic walk or run. We are also 15 minutes from Taughannock State Park, 10 minutes from Stewart Park, 5 minutes from Treman Park, 10 minutes from Cornell University, and 10 minutes from Ithaca College!

Please note that the inlet access is NOT fenced off. Please exercise caution when near the water, especially with kids.
