”Really like the historical aspect to the hotel. It was very clean, very well-maintained. Love the location. Parking was a breeze. And Tamara at the front desk was over the top delightful. Can’t wait to come back. Next time, however, I would really like to try the restaurant, the menu looked pretty good.”

”Good location, easy walk to town. All the staff from front desk, breakfast room to housekeeping were friendly and polite. Breakfast was very good, lots of choices and plenty of food. Rooms are clean and the bed comfortable. The hot weekend brought us to the pool, it was clean, nicely maintained and plenty of towels. Good experience with the BW in Amador.”

”A lot of the furniture was damaged or straight up broken. The shower head was leaking from the actual shower head (not the connection). The beds were horrendous - uncomfortable and felt unstable. There was hair all over the bathroom. The breakfast was okay, but almost zero gluten free options.”

”Hotel building is very old but renovated. Room was nice but small. Bed quite narrow for two people. In the morning there was an unpleasant surprise because of no warm water. Reception told that the water heater had broken. Bad luck.”

”While the property was clean, when we arrived and checked into the room, our room was so hot, you’d think, since they knew they were having people stay in this room, they’d turn on the air, but no. We had to turn on the air and leave for awhile. Thankfully, it cooled, but not a great start. And if your a person, like myself and my family, we don’t like to wake up to a bright room- the curtains were so thin, the room was so bright, we couldn’t sleep. So, definitely will not be returning.”

”It was an amazing stay, the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, the outside was amazing, the locals were incredibly friendly, the music room was awesome and I definitely recommend everyone to give this hotel a chance, it was probably my favorite one to stay at and given the beautiful surrounding areas makes it that much better”

”The Rest Hotel in downtown Plymouth is a gem of a find! Quaint, cute, perfect location, perfect amenities, and the rooms were much better than "normal" hotels. However, the best part of our visit was the staff. They are caring, responsive, polite, and fun! My wife will only stay at the Rest Hotel when we return to Amador County Wine Country!”

”Comfortable & friendly”

”When we showed up there was a for sale sign on the sign at the entrance and nobody in the office. I had to call a phone number that was on the door to check in. They had to open our door remotely which I felt was not safe. We had an upstairs room, where we had to climb up unsafe stairs with metal plates in two spots to support the broken slats you walked on. The railing going up the stairs was wobbly and made us feel uncomfortable. Both my wife and I are in our mid 70’s and had a hard time with...

”An hour after checking in and going to my room, I was advised that there was an additional $96 fee because my room had been changed from a king to two double beds. The king was unavailable. Felt like a down grade because it was on the first floor and could every step of the people above. Thanks to Expedia for fixing it and not making me pay the surprise charge.”

”This little cabin was perfect! You can see the main house from the driveway and front door, but with the direction of the home and an umbrella, you feel like you're all by yourself in the woods. There are some pups, but they were well behaved and didn't come around often. This is a great little cabin—perfect for a 2 person get-away—with all the amenities you will need. ”No photos do the Grand Reserve the true justice it deserves as one of the memorable stays of mine for the past twenty years! The villa was perched in the middle of a vineyard, across a bridge in the rolling hills of Plymouth.
