We were hoping this would be a great home to spend Christmas week in.
The positive: responsive property manager, slept 9, open living area, small fire pit, clutter free, could walk in neighborhood, close to stores and restaurants.
The negative: read as having a fully stocked kitchen, which we were banking on to cook Christmas dinner and had only a few pots and no pans. All spatulas, etc. were unclean. The property seemed as if it had not been looked after recently- very dusty, dirty bathrooms and kitchen. The refrigerator seal was ripped off and not cooling (which luckily we fixed ourselves). Listed as new appliances- not so. Hated that we had to spend Christmas Day cleaning before family gathering. Kind of defeated the point of spending thousands on a VRBO! I will say that the property manager responded very quickly to our messages and delivered a brand new set of cookware, clean sheets (as others were stained) and a new coffee pot (other cracked) the day after Christmas, which was greatly appreciated! Unfortunately, it was still a lot of money for a disappointing experience. I hope they work to improve, as the home has a lot of potential. By the way… not really waterfront. Marsh way off in distance.
