Beautiful home with spectacular views!
I stayed at the property with several family members. Everyone was blown away by the view! Unfortunately it rained so we weren't able to enjoy it to the fullest which was a bummer. The house is very large with plenty of space for a big group, It was also spotlessly clean. Would definitely recommend this property!

Words do not describe. As the previous reviewers state the views are amazing and the pictures do not do justice. The home is full of zen and was comfortable for hosting family and friends for a birthday party. The host was always quick to respond and super helpful!

Perfect for family reunion
The house has stunning views of Raystown lake from the upper and lower decks and every bedroom. We were treated to a double rainbow over the lake after a dramatic storm. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, and yard games. The spacious house is well appointed and the host is very helpful and accommodating. We spent two days at the Seven Points Beach and visitor center. The trail to Rainbow falls and Balanced Rock at Trough Creek State Park were also fun.

Beyond Perfection
Our stay exceeded expectations! The property was immaculate, the location breathe taking, the amenities were of highest quality. It was private, tranquil yet at the same time family centric with horse shoe pit, games and fire pit for smores and drinks for the adults. Access to boating, state park, local gyms and water sports was a short distance away, approximately 20 + minutes Mike the owner was a text away if we ever needed him, which we didn't! Just knowing he was minutes away, added to our peace of mind. This is a destination we will continue to visit. We are planning for a fall experience! Strongly recommend. Thank you Mike for the "BEST" vacation my family and I experienced together.

Magical!
The stay was truly magical. The house is incredibly gorgeous with breathtaking views. I came with a group of 14 friends, we did yoga in the mornings in front of the giant floor to ceiling windows, group meals on the deck, and ended with a bbq at the fire pit. The house was super well equipped, except for toiletries, do not forget that. For me the best part was the cleanliness of it all, especially the kitchen and bathrooms. I felt as relaxed as being in a 4 star hotel. I've already begun the search for a similar place for next year but this location has set the bar so high that I think I'll have to come back despite the 3hr drive. Mike is also extremely respondent, before and during the trip.

A perfect stay
Myself and a large group of my friends gathered for my 39th birthday and we had the best time. Place is great and extremely spacious. The view of the lake from the deck is absolutely spectacular and the listing photos don’t do it justice. There was shortage of activities and games to play. Mike reached out before my stay and had everything we could possibly stay. Amazing stay and great host!!

Absolutely in love with this property!
I stayed there for three days but I wish it could've been forever. It's so peaceful and the view was breathtaking, looking at it on a photo and actually being there was like night and day. There were so many little details in the property that made the stay a little more special. Mike covered all bases when it comes to pleasing his guests, he was so accommodating and very easy to talk to. I drove 4 hours to get to this property but I plan on doing it again soon because the experience was so amazing and absolutely worth every hour of that drive. Thank you for an awesome weekend Mike!!

Wonderful family weekend getaway!
We had an amazing stay in James Creek. The home was very comfortable. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to prep big family meals. Family Retreat
We had a great time at this property. The views are UNBELIEVABLE and the house was in great condition and cleanliness upon arrival. The host was very responsive to any concerns and reached out a few times to ensure our stay was going smoothly which was appreciated. The amount of yard game activities and some toys, baby crib, etc already provided was a great bonus as we didn't have to pack nearly as much. I would definitely recommend for any family looking to get away into the hills!

Magical Lake Retreat
There are not enough accolades to bestow on this one of a kind property and the owner! My husband and I knew immediately that we wanted to get married at Raystown Lake - a very special place for us. We had always camped here and never thought to explore the houses overlooking the lake but once we did - we knew immediately that the Eagle Mountain Lodge was our spot! It had ample lush lawn space for the ceremony and views of the lake for miles! The house is exactly as pictured (and better!) and created such an up-scale log cabin feel! The house is at the end of the road and the whole property gives the feel that you are on top of a mountain all by yourselves. It is an absolute oasis! There was literally something for everyone here - from the pool/game room to the hot tub overlooking the lake, to the huge kitchen with everything you need (minus the food). The owner was fantastic with communicating and was able to accommodate a few of our special requests that literally made the wedding everything we could have hoped for and more! We will absolutely come back time and time again to this magical retreat! We cannot say thank you enough for helping us to have the most special week of our lives!

Family Football Reunion Weekend
The house was everything we needed for our family reunion weekend: breath taking views of the lake, multiple beds and baths, large stocked kitchen with table for 10 & outdoor table for 6, large outdoor fire pit with wood, extra outdoor chairs and supplies in the garage ... too many thoughtfully details to list. The house is remote, but the location adds a touch of tranquility and peacefulness to the stay. Recommend highly!

Loved this spacious home in the clouds
Our family of 11 very much enjoyed our week at this spacious and comfortable home. The single lane road up to the house was much longer than we anticipated and could be a real challenge in winter. Both the house and the property are beautiful and well cared for. Once up that hill, the house and the view were even better than the pictures led us to believe. I thought that the many trophy animals throughout the lodge would be off putting to at least some of us, but they were not and we really came to especially like Mr. Moose. The lower level was too cold for night 1, until those sleeping there figured out to close the air ducts and we set the temp on level 2 a bit higher than 75. Extra blankets (and pillows and towels) were available in the master bedroom closet. Everything we needed was there in sufficient supply for our full stay. Mike sends an extensive inventory that helped us avoid overpacking--but there were things available at the house that were not on the inventory (facial tissue, kitchen wraps, and a variety of spices for example). A large pantry closet is available in the kitchen for storing your food supplies and there is an extra refrigerator in the garage. Lots of closet and drawer space in the bedrooms. The atmosphere was so conducive to interacting and relaxing that we never even got around to many of the things we had planned to do. The view was incredible--in particular the sunrises and being able to look across at and down on the clouds after a storm. Hot tub was convenient to use and enjoyed by a number of us. Mike answered questions before our arrival promptly and provided great information about the home, an inventory of the things that are available there, and recommendations about the area. Wonderful home!! Would love to visit again.

This house was perfect for a couples weekend. When you walk out back to see the lake, it’s literally breathtaking. We would stay again for sure! The yard was big and well maintained and there was also enough driveway space to bring a few boats. The house fit 20 of us comfortably.

Amazing one of a kind property
I've experienced Raystown Lake many times while camping as a young child, boating with my family, and various visits as an adult, but never have I experienced the lake like this! The Eagle Mountain Lodge was a unique experience. There are very few properties that overlook the lake and offer such a spectacular view not the mention the private location. The spacious inside is decorated in an upscale lodge decor... custom solid wood furniture, real taxidermy mounts of everything from bears to moose, antler mug holders, comfy leather sofas, rock fireplaces, etc. The view of the lake was breathtaking both inside and out from the bedrooms to the kitchen and even the firepit and hot tub. My family and I enjoyed morning coffee on the deck watching the wildlife overlooking the lake. Days were filled with boating at the nearby marina. At night, we gathered by the campfire and cooked hot dogs and mountain pies. A wonderful way to reconnect with family in a luxurious and peaceful setting. My girls were thrilled to find edible berries and a walking trail behind the house. Every room was complete with supplies to keep us beyond comfortable. I don't have young children anymore but I was impressed that they even thought of gates at the stairways and matching children's tables and highchairs for infants and toddlers. It was obvious that the owners thought about every need of their guests. Mike contacted me promptly and was available for questions and recommendations throughout our stay. I highly recommend this house and look forward to staying there again! WOW!!!

Everything you need for a perfect getaway
Owner was very helpful in making sure we had everything needed to have a great trip. We arrived to breath taking views and a beautiful home for which pictures do not do justice. The house very clean and provided the most amenities of any rental we've ever stayed at. It's an experience we now want to share with other family and friends. UNBELIEVABLE MAGIC!!!
I don't think there are enough words to ever describe how incredible our experience was. It started off wonderfully with a responsive owner who was not only readily available to answer my questions but also sent over the most thorough inventory list I had ever seen. As an event planner that often feels unprepared when renting a house, this was an incredible thoughtful touch that was not lost on me. The house itself is INCREDIBLE. You're pretty much on your own private mountain and everything feels brand new or newly renovated. You can see the craftsmanship in each detail. The hot tub and fire bit are both in their own section, nestled on a cliff with spectacular views. We watched the sunrise one day and watched clouds rise from the ground and take up the mountains - it was literally how I would imagine heaven to look like. We also had a surprise proposal for two of our friends, which this property was perfect for with so many nooks. The wrap around porch also lended itself to enjoy the most incredible view I have ever seen in my life, and I'm well-traveled! The layout is perfect for large groups and families - we had about 16 folks including 2 little ones and we never felt cramped in any part of the house. We were literally planning our next trip while we were still there because of how incredible it was. I cannot thank the owners enough for their thoughtfulness and caring so much for details that many ignore. I cannot possibly recommend this place enough. It changed us! <3

The house and location where great. The views are spectacular. The house has so many activities; horseshoes; hiking nearby; sitting by the firepit and using the hot tub to name only a few. We traveled to Eagle Mountain Lodge as three families - 6 adults, 7 children and a baby. This property had absolutely everything we could have asked for (and more!) Mike was always available to answer questions. The views are spectacular and the pictures don’t do it justice. We would absolutely stay here again for a private family retreat!

Beautiful house atop a mountain and above the clouds
Two families stayed for 5 nights. We were 5 adults and 5 children from age 4-8. The house was clean and well-equipped, the view of the lake incredible. The setup of the bedrooms was perfect for a multi family visit. At night you could see a million stars, as we sat in the hot tub and relaxed or made s’mores by the fire. There are enough nearby hiking areas and a local beach and marina so there is stuff to do other than just stay at the house. Other than the length of our drive to get there and home, it was a perfect trip! And Mike was easy to reach with any questions we had.
