I have never stayed a lodge before, this was my first experience and they knocked it out of the park! Very nice rooms, very spacious, clean, if I could’ve stayed longer I would have for sure, the atmosphere was also inviting and serene to take in the wilderness from the rocking chairs on the porch. Staff is very friendly and helpful

Simple comfort.
Great little place. Simple yet meets all your needs in the perfect way. A nice little find. The room was spacious and bathroom was very modern. Becky was very friendly. We definitely would stay here again if we’re ever in the area.

The owner was very responsive and accommodating. The room was very clean and comfortable. She even got us some trail maps and had them in the room for us. We definitely plan to come back!

Really liked the room we had. 3 queen beds and picnic table was an awesome idea. Bathroom was very nice. That being said I think the one queen bed is too close to air conditioner. It was pretty warm even with it down low. When u have 5 or 6 people a few more mirrors and plugs are needed. But all and all was very good

The location, rooms, and customer service are all good reasons for choosing this property. Location: As the name suggests, the property is conveniently close to the excellent hiking in the Big South Fork area. Rooms: Despite the simple, rustic appearance of the exterior, the rooms are modern and clean, and the checkout process is more streamlined than the one found at a lot of large chain hotels. Service: The owner is especially personable and helpful. She provided information about the area and even let me borrow one of her books of trails. I will likely stay here again on my next trip to the area.

The staff at Big South Fork Lodge went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant and memorable! I would highly recommend staying here for it's proximity to several trailheads in the area and the geneous hospitality of the staff.

Deluxe room was perfect for the four of us. A hidden gem very rustic but clean and comfortable with updated bathroom. Owner was very nice and helpful even calling us about articles left in the room so we could come back and get them. Definitely recommend 😀

A friend was camping in Pickett State Park. All cabins we're booked & this was closest place with vacancies. What a hidden gem! Updated, clean, great water pressure. There aren't many places to eat, so pack accordingly. Thank you Becky for a peaceful stay.

Becky the manager was super friendly and helpful with hiking suggestions. The lodge was very very clean and quiet. Loved the bathroom! We had a microwave, small refrigerator and coffeemaker. The only drawback is the restaurant close by doesn’t open until 11am for breakfast. If you are an early riser, bring your own breakfast stuff.

Stayed 2 nights at the lodge. Being dog friendly was a major plus! We had 3 with us so there was a small extra charge. Owner was very cool and nice to chat with about the area. Beds were comfy, but tv was a little hard to navigate (streaming tv) with very few standard satellite channels, but not a big issue. Would definitely stay here again.

This property is geared towards people who have horses, which we don’t. So can’t really comment on the amenities. The lodge was very nice even being old. It looks to have been renovated recently. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The owner was very personable and gave great suggestions for the area. We took our dog and they were very accommodating for him.

When we arrive the staff was so welcoming. The room was spotless. Loved walking around the property. Only thing is you have to travel a little ways to find a restaurant. But other than that I would recommend it.
