Jayac is well placed for discovering the landscapes and heritage of the Dordogne, from the medieval streets and renowned markets of Sarlat-la-Canéda to the prehistoric art of Lascaux. The formal gardens of Eyrignac, historic châteaux and picturesque villages offer further possibilities for day trips. Active days can be spent hiking and cycling through the countryside or canoeing along the region’s rivers, followed by a visit to a local market for Périgord specialities.
