The location of this property is ideal for a place to stay for walking around Jefferson. The host left a good complementary treat basket. However, there were cob webs, spiders, and dead bugs behind most of the furniture. The floor appeared swept, but grimy and not mopped. The kitchen countertop had bits of food and dirt behind the coffee maker. The interior of every kitchen drawer and cabinet storage space were also speckled with debris. The microwave had grimy smudges on the outside and specks of food on the inside. The refrigerator had hand prints and smudges on the outside, grime and food debris on the inside, and a nonoperational ice maker/dispenser. The bathroom toilet had brown specks of presumably fecal matter on the underside of the seat and inside the bowl. The shower curtain had mold developing on it. The towel rack's lower shelves were caked with grime and dust. The bathroom air vent was stopped up with dust, lent, and debris around the bathroom light. The inside rim of the clothes washer was lined with debris and grime. Finally, the interior HVAC return vent did not appear to have a filter. After discovering the aforementioned problems with cleanliness in the daylight of day two during our stay and tiring of cleaning things ourselves, we decided to leave early rather than spend another night.
