”Fabulous cabins, great sun exposure (but shade if desired) and perfect continental breakfast. The staff couldn’t be friendlier! The only rub is dog related. Very dog friendly but there are only 3 dog cabins and $100 fee…pretty extreme for one night. There is literally zero additional cleaning involved and I doubt the cleaners get it anyway. Additionally, dogs can’t be left in the room unattended. I think a pet damage deposit would be more appropriate, but I don’t own the place. Will probably...

”Highland Dell is a lovely old lodge overlooking the beautiful Russian River. The host were friendly and helpful. The bed is very comfortable. I highly recommend dining at the restaurant. Our schnitzel was excellent and the house-made apple strudel is unsurpassed! I keep thinking about it. The breakfast included with the room is the best, by far, I have had at a hotel. Try the pastries. The rooms are VERY small, but nice, like in the old days when people didn't have as much stuff. Get over it....

”The Casa Secoya was a great find. Nice older motel with a pool comfortable grounds. The bed was super comfy and there was plenty of hot water. The staff and other guests were friendly. ”Loved everything about this resort. I only wish it had been a bit warmer so we could have enjoyed the fire pit overlooking the ocean. Our room was cozy and warmed by a stove fireplace and had a beautiful view of the ocean. We were greeted with delicious cookies and a free glass of wine. More delicious bakery treats were available in the morning with coffee. I highly recommend a stay at this resort.”

Fire pit and picnic bench in front of each cabin. Just a few steps to Johnson’s Beach. Just a few blocks from Safeway and restaurants. La Bodeguita Mexican restaurant is a MUST. Property manager Chris is very kind and helpful. ”
