”My wife and I stayed at the Alma House Inn for one night when visiting Silverton, and it was absolutely brilliant. Silverton is a lovely little town and we couldn’t have wished for better accommodation. Even before arriving, Matt was so helpful via email with discussing breakfast options and my wife and I both have some difficult dietary preferences. Upon arriving, Matt gave us the tour of the beautiful historic house and showed us to our room. We had everything we needed and Matt really looked...
”Located in the heart of town, quite clean and simple. Parking right on the street outside and key entry after hours. Room has large windows that allow for an amazing view of town and the surrounding mountains.”
”Room was immaculate, beds were comfortable, and it was a great location! The staff took great care in preparing the room, as you could see from the details taken with towels, bed linens, lighting etc.
The owners of the hotel were extremely, helpful with suggestions for food and shopping.
The hotel property itself was very pretty, with a deck, hot tub, seating areas, fire pit and beautiful baskets of flowers hanging thoughout the outside of the hotel and planters on the deck. It was all...
”Loved the hotel. We live in a Brooklyn Row house and fell in love with the Victorian architecture building as a home away from home. Inside the hotel is finished more modernly but retains charm. Downstairs lobby and bar were beautiful and the cocktails and coffee(morning) were very good and welcome after long winding roads.”
”Great place to stay, certain rooms have no bathroom and have to share a space down the hall. I was surprised by this but I should have read the description better! It is a beautiful historic property with great beds and lots of peace.”
”Easy check in. Great communication. Clean room. Be prepared to walk upstairs. Rooms are on 2nd floor. decor is older but clean and comfy. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking items. Coffee and ice cream shop down stairs. Owners run these shops too. Super friendly. The soaking pools are downstairs...Wonderful after a day exploring the mountains. Town is very walkable. Lots of shops, restaurants and a small grocery store with all the basics we needed. Would definitely stay...
”No complaints for my one night stay. Room was clean and had all I needed for the night. Bed was comfy and had a nice selection of pillows from soft to firm to choose from. Had the window open all night and it was quiet outside. Check in and check out were simple and easy. I’ll be staying here again on my next trip.”
”The owners were super nice and the building had tons of character. I had to take away stars because the primary reasons I booked at this location was that the property information listed breakfast being included and laundry facilities as a convenience. The owner said they haven't provided breakfast in quite a long time and the laundry facility was a laundromat across the street.”
”We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Beaumont. The staff were thoughtful and pleasant. The rooms were clean and not lit too brightly. The coffee shop was a delight and the cranberry muffins were something to look forward to each morning.”
”I liked the style of the house and the decorations. I loved the concept of eating breakfast at the dinner table with other guests. My only complaint was that we did not know how to get tv stations on our nice TV. The instructions on the tv were not helpful. It was the inn keeper’s day off. We were given instructions on how to contact her if there were any problems, which we decided not to do. ”
”All of the staff were very nice & helpful. Room was clean and the bed very comfortable. There are big, beautiful flowering baskets hanging everywhere on the property & well manicured green grass, The thing we enjoyed most was sitting out on the patio in the evening with our friends. The patio & property are right on the river, Holly Hocks surround the patio, there is a firepit in the middle that is lit in the evening. Kudos to management & staff for providing a beautiful place to stay.”
”Was a nice place off the main road a couple blocks, close to hiking. Hot tubs were unique but slippery. Staff could have been friendlier. Breakfast was Not included, which for the cost of the room was surprising. The view of the canyon mountains was cool. Ouray is a quaint tourist town with lots going on.”
”Tons of charm and great character. The room was comfortable and clean. The spa downstairs is really wonderful and the sauna was like new and got nice and hot. Much needed after a hard day of hiking. The bar and restaurant were good and the outdoor patio with heaters was great for unwinding and watching the sunset and mountains. Best of all was the staff. Super helpful and everyone is willing to go the extra mile to make sure their guests have the best possible experience. Shout out to Kelly - an...
