We loved this house! We enjoyed all the different spaces available to sit and take in the incredible ocean views. The beds were comfortable. The home was spotless and equipped well in the kitchen and bathrooms. Our week flew by way too fast, so happy to have found this gem.

Breathtakingly Beautiful

We’ve been traveling to the Downeast area for 11 years and this was by far our favorite place we’ve rented. The house was spotless and absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed the private beach and watching the birds bathe in the pond. We definitely would love to visit again.

Hidden gem

Great central location in northern Maine that allowed my family flexibility to explore Machias, Lubec, and Schoodic Point with ease. The house is beautiful and the beds/couches are very comfortable. We saw eagles flying around the house every day and even a deer roaming through one evening!

Wonderful family vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything went smoothly from check in to check out. The home was clean and well appointed and Pascal and Florence were attentive and wonderful hosts. There’s a lot to enjoy in the area - from hiking and visits to Acadia, to kayaking and whale watching, or just relaxing and taking in the beautiful views of the ocean in front of the house.

Wonderful place to stay

We had a wonderful time with our family of 5. The house is clean and very well appointed. The check-in and check-out processes were easy, and Pascal and Florence were wonderful hosts. We enjoyed hiking and sea kayaking in the area (Great Wass Island Preserve is fantastic) and just relaxing by the water in front of the house. This was our second time staying here and we look forward to returning.

Perfect place for a memorable family vacation. The home was spotless upon arrival, well appointed, and exactly as described in the listing. Could not have asked for anything more. Enjoyed watching the lobster boats go by, the beach, paddling our kayaks, exploring nearby hiking trails, and relaxing with a drink on the point. Will definitely plan to come back.

Wonderful Down East Getaway!

The location of this property is perfect for a relaxing vacation with quiet, cool breezes and excellent shell collecting at low tide. Watching the seals offshore and the lobster boats passing by each day was delightful. Pascal and Florence could not have been more accommodating to our questions and to say the house is well appointed would be a gross understatement. I must say too that the people of Jonesport are quite friendly and accommodating, although it is not a town with many commercial opportunities, thankfully. If you desire a quiet, genuine down east Maine experience at a top shelf property, this is your place!

Wonderful property, exactly as advertised. 1 hour drive to the Winter Harbor ferry that takes you to Bar Harbor and 1 hour drive to the Eastern Most point in the US. This is definitely life in the slow lane, which is exactly what we were looking for. Plenty to do if you wish to venture out, and tons of quiet, beautiful, ocean scenery if you just want to lay low. Thank you Florence & Pascal!

Beautiful

This place is a stunning piece of Maine. We loved the long grassy walk to the beach, the beaver swimming by, and watching the beautiful beach come and go with the tides. Having the navigation channel and the big lobster boats added entertainment and added to the picturesque views. We had everything we needed for our group of four adults and four little kids. An incredibly short and beautiful drive to Great Wass Island also provided one of the prettiest hiking trails any of us had ever seen. Thank you.

Perfect Maine vacation spot

Marvelous in every way. We have been to Maine several times in years past and have never found such a perfect location. The house was beautiful and situated on a private picturesque remote location in the heart of a lobstering port. There were no tourists except our family. The house was spotlessly clean, well equipped and decorated comfortably. We couldn't have asked for more. The hosts were kind and helpful. We hope to return next year.

Amazing stay!

If you're looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway then this is it! The house itself was immaculate, not to mention the waterfront location and private beach. The house was equipped with anything and everything you would need. Traveling with our 11 month old, we especially appreciated the full-sized crib and highchair. There were so many cozy places to sit and relax, our favorites were the outdoor firepit and the sunroom. The location was perfect for us. We visited the local goat farm for cheese, explored the town of Jonesport and the lobster docks, and went on a number of hikes within 45 mins to an hour away. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful house and great location

We had a great time and this beautiful house was the perfect setting for touring the Maine coast from Acadia to Quoddy Head. The house is wonderfully Maine with lobster boats, eagles, and everything else that you expect. The house is also typical Maine with updates and all the beautiful accommodations that anyone could ask for. We loved our time there. Pascal and Florence were so accommodating and everything was perfect. This house is a little over an hour to Acadia or Quody Head State Park. Even closer is Roque Bluff, Jasper Beach, Great Wass and Beal City Park. Perfect location and a perfect house made for a wonderful week. Thanks so much

A Memorable 50th Anniversary Stay in Jonesport, Maine

Our family’s celebration of my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary was made extraordinary thanks to the hospitality of Florence and Pascal at their delightful house rental in Jonesport, Maine. The home provided a warm and inviting setting for our family’s memorable gathering. Florence and Pascal’s attention to detail was evident throughout the house, from the well-appointed rooms to the fully stocked kitchen, which was perfect for our anniversary dinner preparations. The living spaces were comfortable and fostered a sense of togetherness among us all. The backdrop of the Maine coastline, with its soothing waves and gentle breezes, was the cherry on top of our joyous occasion. In short, our stay at Florence and Pascal’s was nothing less than perfect. Their house was a home away from home, brimming with love and laughter, and leaving us with cherished memories. We wholeheartedly recommend their rental for a truly special experience.

Beautiful charming luxury home with great views. We had great weather. The house was nicely furnished and stocked. We especially enjoyed spending time in the spacious living room. We watched the lobstermen ply their trade during the day, and the stars at night. Walked out to the beach and enjoyed the grounds. We ate our fill of fresh lobsters and crabs bought from the docks in town, and blueberry pies from a farm in Cherryfield. Took day trips to visit Bar Harbor and Campobello Island. Being that the bedrooms are in the updated old original structure, they are small and all upstairs. There are only two bathrooms, one inside the master bedroom on second floor and the other on the first floor, which made it challenging for us to share, especially at night--typical of old home designs. There were only four of us, with two sleeping in the master, so we made it work, but it would be difficult for a full house. The softened water was a pleasant surprise, but it's set too soft. The bedrooms were small and minimally appointed, but the beds were all very comfortable. All the towels and linens were new and clean. The kitchen has good newer modern appliances that work great, and really well stocked to make just about anything (and we did!). Good pots, pans, measuring cups and spoons, spices and seasoning, too. (But the long kitchen peninsula could have been more convenient as an island.) Overall, it felt like a home with owners who care. Great for a low-key vacation!

Fogged-in fun!

Our vacation week was described by one of the locals at the grocery as "the worst fog we have had since 1973," however, we had a fantastic week in spite of the fog and occasional rain. The water was cold at 55 degrees, but our 4 teenage grandsons swam and fished every day. The water is crystal clear. There is soft sand on the beach, but also a lot of smooth interesting stones and rocks. Good water shoes made walking comfortable, and the chilly water was quite refreshing! The house is as beautiful as it appears in the pictures. We spent a lot of time in the sunroom playing games and listening to music. There is a nice sound system to which we easily connected our iPhones and there is a big screen TV that, in spite of the weather, we never used. If you love to read, you will find multiple sites in the house to sit and relax with a good book. The kitchen is well stocked, and the owners provide a huge pot for lobsters to cook outside. Highly recommend Mother Shuckers for fresh lobster! One of the highlights of the week was watching bald eagles around the pond area. One day we saw an eagle swimming across the pond. Hard to believe, but it looked like it was doing the breaststroke. It pulled itself up onto a sandbar, and clearly had something caught in its talons that turned out to be an unfortunate bird. It was quite something to watch. Enough said about that... We had a wonderful week in spite of the weather so please don't hesitate to book this beautiful place!

Downeast Maine quiet retreat

We had a lovely time at the house this past week. The property is a lovely old restored home in a tranquil setting that is both oceanfront and pond-front (is that a word? Lol!) The private beach is a short walk down the back yard path, which is a beautiful natural meadow filled with wildflowers and even some wild blueberries. We could sit for hours in the Adirondack chairs, just birdwatching and watching the ocean. Jonesport is a tiny town, but it was close enough for day trips to Lubec (Easternmost spot in US), Bar Harbor and Acadia National park. Florence and Pascal we’re very attentive, and the house is very well stocked and comfortable. Thanks for a great trip!

Quiet, relaxing & beautiful views

The outside, beach & views were beautiful! What was unpleasant were the moth balls all throughout the house. The smell of them were so strong & made us both sick. Really bad headaches, nausea & dizziness. Also the stress of going all around the house trying to find them. The house had a lot of charm but needs updating in the bathrooms & kitchen. It would have been nice to not have carpet upstairs & tile instead. The upstairs window had no screen in it, which made the bathroom very steamy for showers. We found a small screen you have to put in by hand in the closet but it was very inconvenient. Also during our stay it was very hot & humid especially sleeping upstairs & there were no ceiling fans or window fans to use. A Mitsubishi split would have been nice too for cooling. There was no shade outside perhaps an umbrella or retractable awning would have been nice. The positives were the views, location, the private beach to walk & the delicious local seafood, also the hand book for the house was helpful with information on nearby things to do. The bottle of wine left for us was thoughtful & nice.

Such a beautiful home and view!

This home definitely lives up to the pictures!! It is so beautiful and spacious! You CANNOT beat these views! This was our first time to visit Maine and can’t imagine staying anywhere else. We loved going down to the beach every day during low tide and finding beautiful seashells and rocks! The town was small and everyone was so friendly!! We went down to the wharf and bought fresh lobsters, which were amazing! We visited Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, and other places that weren’t a far drive at all from the house! Pascal and Florence (the owners) were so nice and responsive to any of our needs! We would definitely stay here again and will be back! Thank you Pascal and Florence!

Great Stay!

This is a lovely house that had everything we needed. Our group of six happily sat enjoying the views from multiple seating areas and enjoyed sunrise from the private beach. We enjoyed fresh fish and had everything we needed to cook and enjoy meals. It would take weeks of hiking to go to all the trails in the area each hike we did had well marked trails and amazing views. Nothing compares to downeast Maine.

Jonesport Beach Vacation

We had such a relaxing experience here. We took advantage of many nearby hiking opportunities, like Bold Coast trail and Acadia National Park. The beach attached to the property was also a highlight for our family. We would definitely stay again.

Gorgeous home, amazing location

This beautiful home on the ocean has a private beach and all of the amenities you may need for a relaxing stay. Lots of places inside and out to sit and enjoy the magnificent view. Florence and Pascal were communicative and helpful during our stay. Highly recommend this special property.
