I stayed again in summer 2026 and the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the property was quiet, the pool was refreshing, and I like the fact that the room has a microwave and a mini fridge so that i can have my breakfast in my room without any fuss. Check in was different, in that there was no "front desk", and instructions for locating and accessing our room were not sent until just before check in time. We were well on the way to the facility (six hour drive) before we even knew which bungalow was ours, or what the access code for the digital lock on the door was. ”Great place to stay near Joshua Tree. Field Station is obviously a remodel of a retro hotel. I love the esthetic and everything needed was provided. The pool was surprisingly nice and the hot tub was actually hot. So many hotels don’t get the pool area right, Field Station is a welcomed exception. Overall a solid choice for a base to enjoy the area.”

”We were just passing through and stayed for one night. The staff was very friendly, and although the hotel and rooms were a bit dated, everything was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was quite basic – just toast with jam, coffee, and three types of cereal. If you're just looking for a place to sleep, this hotel is definitely a solid choice, especially for the price per night. During our trip, we stayed at places that cost nearly three times as much and were nowhere near as good...
