The Space:

Desert Luxury & Serenity:

The Refuge is a brand new 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom home designed with healing and reflection in mind. Step inside and be greeted by modern architecture, with an open floor plan and high ceilings and large windows. The modern fixtures seamlessly blend with authentic Moroccan furniture and rugs, creating an ambiance that is both chic and inviting. The tasteful decor transports you to a far-off land, while the contemporary amenities keep you firmly rooted in modern convenience.

The inviting living area features large windows and sliding glass doors and is open to the dining area and the kitchen, allowing ease socialization and indoor-outdoor living. The kitchen is fully stocked, featuring top-tier cooking appliances, amenities and spices, oils, high-end cookware and tools.

The primary bedroom has an on-suite bathroom, for your privacy and convenience. Sink into the plush bedding and let the desert breeze lull you into a peaceful slumber. Guest Access:

The entire property is yours! Please note that there are two closets in the carport locked to guests that are being used for supplies.



The Neighborhood:

The Refuge is situated in North Joshua Tree, just 10 minutes from the shops and restaurants of downtown Joshua Tree. All homes in this area are on acreage, giving guests wide open space and privacy.

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.



Other Things to Note:

Pool Heating Fee:

Should you wish to have the pool heated to 85 degrees, please notify us in advance of your arrival as there will be a supplemental charge per day for this service due to high fuel costs in this area. If you'd like the pool heated for multiple days, we ask that days be consecutive to conserve energy, thank you! Pool heating is not usually necessary May through September.



► May through September - $150/night if needed

► October & April - $200/night

► November through March - $250/night



*No fee to heat the hot tub!*



Pool Heating:

Please note that we will need at least 24 hours' notice to heat the pool. Only one of the pool or hot tub can heat at once. If you wish to use the hot tub while the pool is heating, just note that the pool heating will turn off while the hot tub heats, so it will take a bit longer for the pool to get to 85 degrees. Once the hot tub is turned back off, the pool heating will resume.



Hot Tub Heating:

Please note that because the hot tub is an in-ground hot tub, it is not heated 24/7 to conserve energy. It will take around 30 minutes to an hour to heat to 104 degrees from ambient temperature.



Pool and Hot Tub Service:

The pool and hot tub are serviced Monday & Thursday, approximately between 11am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard.

Desert Wildlife & Safety Tips:

The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it’s important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. ESAs/service animals should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.
