• Please be aware this is a desert environment, there are critters in-and-out once in awhile
• Due to the strong wind in the area, the cowboy tub will not fill with water. Please inform us in advance if you need the additional service to fill the cowboy tub on the day of your arrival. (A $60 fee applies)

You will have exclusive access to the entire main house, the bubble dome, and the private backyard. A few closets and cabinets are locked for storage, but the rest of the home and the expansive landscape are yours to enjoy.

Overall, we had a good time at the house. I did want to share a few things that impacted our stay. The dome doesn’t have electricity, so we could hardly use it since it was too cold to spend time there. The glass panels in the dome were also quite dirty, which affected the view. The house itself is nice but very basic — it could benefit from some more thoughtful design touches to make it feel cozier and more inviting. The cleaning supplies (broom, etc.) were stored visibly in the living room, leaning against the wall, which made the space feel less tidy. The outdoor furniture was minimal and not very comfortable, which limited our ability to enjoy the outside areas.

The house was clean and fine but the dome was misrepresented. There is no power or heat in it, not disclosed before booking. I'm not sure which way they measures the 5 acres but there were neighbors right on both sides and across the street. This was also an issue because of the light pollution from all of their outdoor lights. We were unable to see stars out of the dome because of the glare from neighbors and tint on the dome at night. You could also see into the dome during the day. Overall very expensive and disappointing for what you're getting.

Desert Starlite Bubble review with issues

Overall, the place was clean and cute. Very minimalistic but with everything you would need. 2 Bedrooms and the Bubble. We were out there for work and decided to stay here versus a hotel and it was recommended to us by a friend. Though a cute place, we did run into some issues. 1. The last day we were there, the internet went out. So being there for work, this was not convenient. The owner did provide instructions in advance ensure this didn't happen, which we followed, but it still went out. Cell service is spotty so having internet is important. Being December in the desert, it was cold at night. The heater in the house didn’t work. Just blew cold air. 56 degrees inside the house. This didn’t make for a comfortable time at night or in the morning They had a great soaking tub with a view of the desert. We tried to use the tub but was only able to fill 1/4 of the way full because the water got cold, so this didn't work out. Once you book with them (VBRO) you will be asked to register through Marbella Lane. Just a heads up, as we didn't see this listed, there will be an additional $45 you will have to pay them for maintenance of the property. Unfortunately, this fee didn't work in our favor with the issues we encountered. Its about 4-5 miles off the main road, so bring food and drinks so you don't have to drive into town to get stuff. I emailed the owners the concerns and they said they will look into it.

Needs work

Nice little home but needs some work. The shower did not drain properly and would over flow. We also arrived to the trash outside overflowing and animals continued to go through it. Kitchen was nice but needed a few things. Overall we enjoyed our stay but definitely feel like it could be better

Host was super patient with me during the reservation phase. The air freshener was obnoxiously overwhelming, but I got used to it. 10/10 would stay here again.

Clean Place, great location, needs a few things for long term stay.

Place was exceptionally clean and tidy. Was nice to find coffee already there. Plenty of extra towels. Description said no dryer, which was not a problem since we're in the desert. However, we had to put up our own laundry line, and buy clothes pins so desert winds didn't blow our clothes away. Coffee pot didn't work and took hours to make a pot. Stove was weak, struggled to fry eggs on high, tried to use oven and didn't reach 350 for over an hour. Could only use on pan at a time otherwise not enough power. Provided pans were good, some nonstick would be nice. Electric kettle was provided but leaks if you leave water in it. A charcoal grill was provided, but there wasn't any equipment for it such as metal spatula, scraper, or brush. I managed with tongs. It looked like previous guest melted a spatula on it. A gas grill would be nice for the price paid and dealing with the wind. There's a lounge chair in the corner that was broken, plastic chairs were good but did get blown around a good bit. There was a tiny picnic table with a table clothe attached to it. Thing was like a sail in the wind so weren't able to use it. Need to get rid of it but didn't want to rip it off. Speaking of the wind. It was intense, may need to enclose entire space to make it usable. Water pressure in shower was fantastic and plenty of hot water. Was nice that soap and shampoo were provided. House has some weird proportions. Bathroom is huge and could accommodate a jacuzzi tub or sauna, hint hint. Living room was comparatively small with a pleather couch. Not a problem if there are only 2 as we were but not enough seating for 4. There was a good chair in the living room for reading and a decent movable light. Dining table was small but functional. Would be a squeeze for 4 people if they wanted to play board games. Chairs needed some pads, metal chairs were pretty cold. Bed was comfortable and plenty of blankets to keep warm. Could use separate lights on either side of bed for reading. Strange walk in closet in bedroom big enough to be a New York apartment. Would be a good place to put washing machine, which was outside in a shed attached to the house. All in all great place to access park, only 15 minute drive and close to town. Beautiful views of sunset. As a climber this was luxurious compared to our normal camping out of a car or tent. A little attention to the kitchen, and living room, and backyard would make a huge difference in perception of overall value.
