I had some issues receiving notifications via the Stayz app once I was in New Zealand (possibly due to my international telco delays and possibly due to me being a little tech un-savvy), but our hosts were very accommodating. ”My brothers and I needed a no fuss, clean and Doubtless Bay central place to stay for a family event. The bach was very clean with all the basics catered for, I would definitely stay again.”

”Such a lovely home, with a bathroom for every bedroom and a beautiful deck out front with a view of the water. The only note I have is that it’s not super clear which front entrance is which (the home is split in to 2 rentals), so we almost walked in to the wrong home. Otherwise, wonderful stay and lovely hosts!”

”A lovely property, a newly renovated villa in a quiet location surrounded by fields. Mostly well equipped, but lacking a few details like somewhere to hang towels in the bathrooms. Bath plug leaked and TV turned itself on at full volume at 7.30 am!! Good location for access to Twin Coast rail trail.”

”Spacious and comfy bach with everything we needed for a weekend away with friends. The glazing offers such great views from all the living spaces. As already pointed out the kitchen is very small but we found it very functional - and the benchtop bifold out to the deck is brilliant. We found the bbq (situated out the back) was nearing the end of its life, as they do, but still managed steak for dinner. Hard to beat this private and well setup location.”

”Loved the place with all the facilities - limited instructions eg. TV use, and information about the area. Didn't realise how close the neighbours were and had to keep curtains closed most of the time to prevent neighbours on all sides seeing in. Wonderful and close access to the beach. Great to have our dog with us and would stay again but be wary of being there when other neighbouring baches had guests.”

”The house is well maintained and has a beautiful view. The property manager was "all business" - but was responsive when help was requested. Only one bedroom was made available - the other bedrooms were locked. (I some times am restless and might have made use of the second bedroom - though in all fairness I didn't raise the issue.)”
