As soon as we entered our room, we found a cockroach. The bed linens were dirty, and the towels had black stains on them. To make things even worse, when I went into the bathroom to take a shower, I found another huge cockroach. The shower area was also very dirty.
On the positive side, the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, and the hotel had a really nice...

”This is a simple, classic, hotel sandwiched between some bigger less personal venues but nonetheless also popular. The Mauian is very different from the others though and people who stay there know that about the place. The beach is very private even though accessible to the public, which is a plus - wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and again and again.”

”Room didn’t have a tv, no really access to the beach, and when I ask to see if there was a late checkout the person didn’t even try she said no right away even though they do not have anyone working in the office during the weekend. I can not really recommend this to anyone.”

The biggest perk was Ian the chef! He was incredible!!! His food was delicious and he was so kind and helpful. We really enjoyed getting to know him and all the care he took in providing for the guests. Ian was truly the cherry on top!”
