It was cheap, so i guess you get what you pay for. The sheets had stains on them, the pillows and sheets had stains from bed bugs, the lock on the door was broken, there was some kind of drug related residue on the night stand. I dont recommend this place at all. It did hedge working ac, tv, fridge, microwave bathroom etc... the staff was ok, no complaints there. The area seemed a little sketchy too. The restaurant next door was surprisingly good though.

Steve, thanks for your review. our linens definitely get more miles being a value motel. our house keepers work hard keeping everything clean and fresh but unfortunately things get stained. don't quit know what you're referring to about bug stains. we check for pests on a regular basis. about the lock we recently updated our door locks that includes a deadbolt which is safer than that old school latch. sorry our small little town sketched you out so much maybe you can find peace next time in one of the bigger cities around us...

One of the best places I have stayed at in a long time. The beds are very nice. The staff here is amazing..

Broken Lamp over the bed, then the power went out in them after about an hour. Shower head that was coming out of the wall. Not to mention the riff raff hanging out. I parked in front of my room so I could watch my vehicle. The cigarette burns on the bathroom sink gave it all away, so stay away. Never again....

Basic comfort but all you really need
Room has basic needs : bed, table and chairs, TV, free wi-fi, microwave and fridge. Very comfortable and very clean. Don’t expect extras like a robe, iron, extra blanket, hair dryer, coffee, etc. I didn’t need all that so it was priced just right. And, there is an excellent restaurant next door with home style food.

The room was shabby, but clean for the most part. The only thing that I had to complain about as far as cleanliness was concerned was that the flooring was Laminate and didn't seem to have been mopped in quite some time. When wiping up spilled water, the rag came up very dirty. I saw no evidence of any creatures/pests. The bed was moderately comfortable. When we arrived, there were no towels in the room, but this was handled promptly by the front desk. The towels were small and threadbare. The shower was hot with good water pressure and the showerhead did not shoot all over the place due to built up calcium and other minerals filling the holes. The only other complaint I might have is that there was nothing to set food or anything on except for a small table. No cabinet or dresser of any kind.

We could not check-in because the office was closed when we reached the hotel at 11.10 PM! We had to make emergency booking in another hotel through Expedia!! Next day, we checked-in. Room was dirty. We decided to check out next day morning. Office was closed in the morning. No body was there to check us out!! We had to check out because the stay was terrible. Kalama hotel had taken the money and are now refusing to refund the money for the day we did not stay!!!!!

Don't waste your money here
Didn't sleep at all!! People upstairs banging on the floor with what sounded like a bowling alley. Couldn't call front desk because no one was there. Bathroom had very little toilet paper and had to go purchase some. Seemed like druggies were staying there as well.

Could be worse. Budget stay.
It was ok for a 1 night stay. Bed was actually comfortable, but I also like my beds a bit on the harder side. Room was clean. Only one hinge attached on bathroom door which made it difficult to open and shut. Room has microwave, fridge and AC. It's also next door to a restaurant that serves breakfast. It was. Bit loud the night before. Someone came through in a big truck honking his horn at 11pm. A cop showed up shortly after. Other than that it wasn't to bad for $90.

The staff is argumentative, uncooperative, no response to emails. Called a half dozen times and no answer on the phone. Every question that is asked the answer I received is I don’t know. We’ll have to figure it out another time.

Good price right next to a nice little restaurant. Changing ownership and undergoing some renovations so the sign out front doesn't say Kalama. Lighting was not good in the room and the sink barely drained. Fairly convenient between Crater Lake and Ranier.

Duct tape on walls , stains on blanket , the walls in bathroom bubbling. When we arrived took like 10 minutes before for them to come to the office , outside working on vechicles. The lady didn’t know how to answer the phone. A guy walked in saying there is someone calling the police on you 😳

They tried...
but the majority of staying there are usual homeless shelter/institutional like all hotels now, hard for travelers to step around all that. As when I asked for a quiet room for work. SO got a first floor? With someone starting in pounding overhead room all night. The usual... go to office get different room. And then the pounding came from other side of wall is all. Sleeping in car helped some (Glad I pay!). At least had a refrigerator. So bought sandwiches, other food stuff and drinks. Refrigerator stopped working overnight. Threw all that out I had just bought. Never again.
