”the parking area is a bit scary and the elevator to the parking area is a nightmare because there’s only one lift and the wait could be long. self check in might be troublesome as the staff dont really give you complete information”
”Aluksi oli vähän epäselvää miten avaimet saadaan, kun ohjeissa oli, että ohjeet tulee sähköpostiin. Tallensin puhelinnumeron ja sain wappin kautta näppärästi yhteyden ja ohjeet. Avaimet sai avainboxista sisääntuloaulasta. Huoneisto oli ihanan iso, vähän kulahtanut mutta äkkiä tuntui jo kodikkaalta. Mahtavan kokoinen uima-allas 6.kerroksessa ja illalla upea tunnelma 4. kerroksen altaalta kauounkia katsellen. Puutarha ympärillä! Samassa talossa oli hieno iso ostoskeskus missä oli iso supermarket...
”We arrived at nearly 10pm and didnt have the self check-in details so we had to send a text to receive the door codes. One of the rooms they said was ours already had people sleeping inside! Fortunately they gave us another room and we found them simple but comfortable. The shower was excellent!”

Room is very clean and has all fancy things like Dyson hair dryer and electric curtains. Free soft drinks. There are some umbrellas, luggage scale etc to use.

Fortunately we had booked a room with executive lounge access and it was the highlight of the stay as Mr. Nigel Wong and Ms. Felicia took care of us during our 5 days of spending in the hotel. "Shangri-La is not located in the center of Kota Kinabalu but it is surrounded in the beautiful nature and worth staying. We had booked a nice room in the Ocean view part of the hotel. Restaurant called Oceano, had really good food and service and we ended up eating breakfast, lunch and dinner there. Food and staff lead by Charlie took very good care of us and made us feel really welcome. We did daily trips to the wells and canopy walk and if you wanted to stay in the resort you could do horse riding, swimming, walking in the beach etc. We do not play golf but there was a very good spa located in the golf club so we went to have treatment there. We simply had a very good time. We can recommend the resort to anybody who loves nature and good service!"
