”Everything was simply wonderful. The reception was courteous, the entire building had a sense of cleanliness, the room was spacious, the breakfast was delicious, the internet was sufficiently fast, and the water dispenser was very convenient. ”This was our first time in Taipei and we absolutely loved our stay at the Taipei Garden Hotel. Cleaning works well. Second floors snack selection is so good!
Improvements:
Elevator made a loud sound and felt like it fell down a bit. Rooms are very small and there is no safety boxes but reception has a box. Problem with their safety deposite box is that they don't verify that you actually own that stuff. Only room number is not enough to verify that you are the owner!”

”The location is great, a short walk from Ximen metro and the Red House. Despite the busy surroundings, the hotel is peaceful and quiet. The room was spacious, tidy and very clean, so was the bathroom. The staff very extremely attentive, helpful, cheerful and welcoming. The price is very reasonable. There is a set-menu breakfast (both Chinese and Western options, changing daily) which is very convinient.”

”Friendly staff. First time I am in a hotel where the reception is in the basement. And the basement guest area is awesome with free snacks (ramen, egg buns, chips, etc.), games, and armchairs.
Our room was small but sufficient for a couple nights. The bathroom had a large shower.
Highly recommend the place!”

”Excellent location only 2 mins walked from Ximen station. In the heart of Ximending night market. Hotel is on 12th floor it’s quiet and clean and shower pressure very high also complementary snack, ramen, coffee, tea, water, soap , shampoo etc…Super friendly staff. Highly recommended! ”

”Although it locates in an alley, but it is safe and quiet. Just few steps walk to reach Xi Men Ding shopping street. Surrounding also many food choices. Have free ice cream from hotel for each person. Very lucky the hotel just add a coffee machine while we check in.”

”Hotel was located about 5 minutes walking distance from Ximen metro station so it was easy to go everywhere.
Hotel was clean, staff friendly and we really loved our room. The bathroom was amazing.
The only minus with the room was the renovation they started in their breakfast room and the noise was kinda annoying at the daytime. Luckily we didn't spend so much time on the room during then.

"Average price, low budget hotel close to railway station and Ximen area. Very hostel kind of place and limited breakfast option. No coffee!
We took rooms with windows, but saw only brick wall. Front desk staff was really friendly. "
"Room was ok, clean and hotel was quiet. When I booked a room, there promised that a minibar include and also there promised to include personal hygiene products - there were not those things.
The wiew from the window was not nice and whwn we liked to keep window open at night, the room was very noisy.
Also prise of the room would have been cheaper if we had order it on the hotel, not by internet.
In hotel was not any change to order any food.

"Communication with the hotel before the visit was difficult. I didnt get any real answers to my questions and requests which led to some dissapointments when we arrived e.g. missing window views and terribly priced early check-in. I needed to ask them to change our room, which they did next day, points from that. Most of the staff were just great while one receptionist was in a wrong job, very friendly staff at the lobby and in the restaurant. Great location. The best before date of our first room was long gone while the second was quite ok."
