The Charlotte Retreat is a thoughtfully designed one-bedroom bungalow located in one of Kansas City’s most historic and central neighborhoods. Whether you're in town for business or a relaxing getaway, this charming home offers the perfect blend of style, comfort, and convenience—all just minutes from the Plaza, Downtown, Brookside, and Waldo.

Living Room
Settle in and make yourself at home. The living area features a comfortable sectional sofa, perfect for enjoying a quiet evening with a movie or curling up with a good book. A 55" flat-screen Smart TV and high-speed internet provide seamless access to your favorite streaming platforms like Netflix and Hulu.

Kitchen
The kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you need to prepare a home-cooked meal, including cookware, utensils, and a microwave. Coffee lovers will appreciate multiple brew options: a Keurig, drip coffee maker, pour-over, and French press. A variety of k-cups, along with sugar and creamer, are provided for your convenience.

Bedroom
Relax and recharge in the cozy queen-size bed featuring hotel-quality sheets and plush pillows. A sliding glass door off the bedroom leads directly to the side deck, offering a tranquil space to enjoy your morning coffee or unwind with a drink in the evening.

The full bathroom includes a tub and shower combo and is stocked with premium Tommy Bahama bath products—shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. Each guest will receive a large bath towel and washcloth, along with dark towels for makeup removal.

Free street parking is available on both sides of the one-way street in front of the home. Please note that there is no private driveway.

The home is within walking distance of several locations, however, if you don't enjoy walking Uber is another great option. In addition to Uber, the KC streetcar is only 0.9 miles away and provides a free transportation option starting from the Plaza and running all the way to the River Market.

This protection plan is $45 for all stays under 29 nights, and is included in the cost of your booking. Stays 30-59 nights will be required to pay an additional insurance premium of $305 directly on our website. Stays longer than 59 nights will be separately charged for damage protection extension at the rate of $130/30 days. Please note, guest screening is also required for any bookings made through VRBO or direct. Once your booking is confirmed, you will be contacted by Safely to complete an identity verification before your reservation date for any direct or VRBO bookings.

*MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT - Guests must be at least 25 years old to book a Cozy in KC property.

*PARTIES - All gatherings must be limited to 4, this is monitored and guests violating this rule will be charged a mandatory $700 fine. NO EVENTS OR PARTIES ARE ALLOWED.

*PETS - We do allow pets with host approval. If you are planning on bringing a pet please notify us once you complete your booking. There is a $75 pet fee for one pet or $125 for two, the fee is collected once the booking is confirmed and paid in full. Contact us for questions. (Guests are required to pick up after their pet, host provides dog bag stations.) This home does not have a fenced yard but the neighborhood is perfect for walking. There is a $500 fine for any unauthorized pets.

There are several stairs leading up to the property so if stairs are an issue this property is not a good fit!

*CANCELLATION POLICY - Guests can receive a full refund minus processing fees (approximately 4%) if they cancel up to 5 days before check in. No refund will be provided if cancelling less than 5 days before check in.

*RENTAL AGREEMENT - We require all guests to sign a rental agreement outlining all house rules once booking is confirmed.
