”I didn’t know I was choosing a room that wouldn’t have any TV. Place was empty but they wouldn’t upgrade me to any other room without charging me 20 more dollars. I was a little disappointed since I’ve stayed there many times. I don’t know if I’ll go there again. My rate was more expensive than what Expedia had it for closer to the date. I booked my room a month in advance, and I don’t think I’ll do that again.”

”Older property with slightly outdated facilities but spotlessly clean and in a great location close to some dining facilities and the park. We were on the second floor and although there was no A/C, fans and opening the windows made it light and airy. Quite spacious and nice to have a microwave and coffee maker in the room. Very good value for money.”

”We loved our 7-night stay at Hilltop vacation rental! We had the economy room with a view of the ocean and it was very cool to wake up to the sun rising. The room was clean, there was a shower and bathroom and all of the necessary essentials for our stay—coffee maker, small fridge, etc…The parking was a bit tight, but our rental Jeep fit into the parking spots! ”My husband and I stayed there for four nights and we had the most wonderful time there. Every morning was a different type of fresh cut fruit, mostly grown in the property and home bake goods. It was delicious! The room was small but comfortable and was exactly what we were looking for. The property and location was great too. It was a 10 minutes walk to rainbow falls and 5 minutes drive to downtown Hilo. ”

”If you are a backcountry camper, this is for you! The hut is situated in primitive setting of rain forest. You can imagine a big tent but in wood sitting in the woods. I like the nature surrounding and the art deco. However, lack of electricity and a modern bathroom is a big downside. The host is friendly, responsive, and helpful. However, descriptions of the property and instructions to the property aren't sufficiently clear.”
