”It was a nice break from the heat when staying on the river. You can also pay by credit card which is nice because most backpackers on the river are low on cash since most places do not take cards. Spent one night - took the Garífuna cultural tour in the AM out of the tiny Dibasei office down the street- and now checking out for a 2:30 boat back to the river. Great clean rooms with AC”

”Gringos, stay away! Both the hotel and restaurant staff seemed annoyed with our limited Spanish. We had to request service from the restaurant staff the whole time. The rooms are incredibly overpriced for the quality. We had toilet issues and no water pressure or hot water. They charged for everything, including the use of pillows. Worst hotel we stayed at while traveling in Guatemala!”

”Lugar incómodo e incomunicado. La empresa no colabora con el cliente no advierte que el camino es una brecha de terracería. El sitio no hay señalamiento que indique el hotel o cabaña. Es un azar que algún vecino se apiade de los que viajan y ofrezca ayuda personal. Incluso tuve un percance que fue solventado por los vecinos. La propietaria jamás dio la cara. Lamentable.”
