Looking for waterfront?? We have even better, ON THE WATER!! Come get away to Caddo lake. Docked at a private dock right next to Johnsons Ranch Marina. This houseboat features an open space including a queen bed, kitchenette, TV, bath with shower, couch that pulls out to a full size bed, screened in front area for seating to watch activities or just relax while viewing passer bys and nature, walk path for fishing, kayaks and a firepit on shore. Set the Caddo vibe for a great getaway! Docked right in the middle of all the Caddo activities and located right next to Johnsons Ranch Marina for gas (boat), drinks and some fishing needs. Also, just a hop skip and a jump to the Outpost for some quick stop groceries or good eats. Don't forget the small boat or car ride to Shady Glade just a frog hop away for some great breakfast or lunch if you don't want to cook! Kayaks available for use at your own risk. Open floor plan. 1 queen bed & Loveseat pulls out into a full size bed Full bathroom & kitchenette **Please note that we are located next to a gathering spot. During weekends / busy season it can be noisy. **Boat does not move it remains docked **When booking this rental you are agreeing to following standard safety precautions. This is a rental on water. We loved being on the water. Being able to walk out the front door and fish was great. Our host was very responsive, almost like sitting across the table. It was so convenient rafting up to the houseboat with our boat. The night sounds on the lake were so nice - owls and other birds. We liked being next to Johnson's Marina. The people there are a great help if you're not familiar with the lake.

Judging by the excellent reviews, we chose this unique property for a holiday getaway. When we arrived, we quickly questioned why this place had such great reviews. It appeared very unkept on the outside with railing panels that had fallen off the upper deck as if it was the aftermath of a heavy storm. Old, unkept boats were at the dock, broken glass and trash about. Outside furniture was broken and unusable. Cobwebs all over the outside and some inside. Towels were musty smelling and old. The black shower curtain bled brown when taking a shower. To our surprise, there was boat traffic through out the day and night making it particularly noisy in the late evenings and early mornings. We ended up leaving two days early, forfeiting our full payment. We respectfully brought up our concerns to the host and we did not receive a response. Of all the VRBOs we’ve stayed in, this was by far the worst experience however it has become a quite a laughable experience.

We arrived to a dirty and broken griddle but it was replaced about an hour after our arrival.

It was just like the pictures said. Right when i opened the door, I noticed how clean it was and how good it smelled. When you think about a house boat, you think, musky,lake smell. No, it was the opposite. My internet worked perfect, they provided me with wi-fi password. A/C worked perfect. I didnt know i was on a boat houseuntill a boat zooming by us with large waves. I will be staying again.the communication was good, it does take a moment to get back with you but thats normal life. They have plenty of clean pillows and towls, i did bring mine just incase. I did love this boat house

Unique option for an out of the norm experience. We went for my husband's birthday, we enjoyed being right on the water. Location was right in the middle of everything that Uncertain has to offer. We were able to enjoy a mud boat racing event on one of the days we were there. I did see a few complaints about the activity/noise on the dock where this is located. All activity was during "normal" hours, most activity in the surrounding area died down around 8ish. This is a boat house in an active area so it was all expected. We enjoyed it. Everyone was friendly and helpful with suggestions. We took my husband's boat, so we did our own tours but heard great things about the tour that leaves out from the dock next to here.

24 hrs of up to 22 people & dogs ft from bed.

The boat is docked at another resort that hosts 22 guest & 2 barge tours up to another 10 people at a time. So people fish 24 hours a day a few feet away from your bed. We got little sleep. All those people under a covered aluminum dock can get really loud & crowded. It only has 4 boat capacity. Its small. Host said i should have complained? So my problem not hers. They had every right to be there its theirs.

Caddo time

The houseboat was super fun. It was really cool to be able to sit on the roof and enjoy the views. Having access to the kayaks at no charge was the cherry on top. I absolutely loved kayaking around the lake and exploring the cypress trees with my family!

Great, unique place to stay!

The houseboat is really cozy and the location is near all of the different places we wanted to visit in the area (Jefferson and Caddo Lake State Park). One of my favorite things was looking at the stars from the roof of the houseboat. A great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. The flea market up the road was charming and fun, and the outpost nearby was very convenient for small groceries/sundries.

My husband and i stayed on a Monday night in mid Sept, which was very peaceful. The location is directly across from the iconic tearoom built circa 1900. Magically cute

This quaint house boat is tucked into a scenic spot on Caddo lake. The front porch base the best view of the historic Tea House on Caddo. The Canoes and Kayaks have an easy spot to launch from for a short adventure or if you’d like to book a tour hop next door to Johnson’s Marina. If you need a quick snack or refreshment the marina also has you covered.

Amazing 4th of July Experience

This was our first trip to Caddo Lake, but certainly won't be our last! What an incredible place to come to escape from it all! The kayak launch a few minutes away brought us to such an immaculate, serene part of the lake. My husband + I live on the water on Bayou Bonfouca in Louisiana, so we are always on the water & taking in the beautiful views + sounds of nature. But it was so nice to experience the nature on this lake. Different bird sounds, different aquatic plants, different water. Everyone we encountered was so friendly, too! Thank you for providing such a comfortable + unique stay that made our visit even better! The fireworks for the 4th were also AMAZING!!! Thank you!
