I'll list the pros and the cons of my stay:Pros: Rainforest location, cute cottage, lots of wildlife (Peacocks, Macaws, chickens, lizards) - The peacocks are super friendly and come to your door throughout the day. Good shower water pressure/heat.Cons: Dirty. I cleaned A LOT. The dish rack was atrocious, sponges were old/moldy. Dirt everywhere. The shower tub is clogged.Extremely old flat pillows and sheets that slip off the bed CONSTANTLY. I replaced: sponges, soap, trash bags, bought a pillow, and more.Absolutely no service in the cottage or around it. NO wi-fi either. The kicker was the electricity and getting scolded by the owner. The listing said the property can handle lights and phone chargers. Which is literally all we had. One Friday during our stay, it rained all day so we stayed at the cottage. All we used were the chargers and a ceiling fan. The power went out around midnight. I figured from lack of sun charging the solar system. I ended up having to charge my devices in my car that night and got us a hotel on the other side of the island. When we got back 2.5 days later, the owner came over and chewed us out accusing us of using hair dryers and coffee makers? Told us no more power and to use candles/would not restart the solar power. We had to get several other hotels. Out of 14 nights, we stayed 7 nights elsewhere. I do not recommend this place as anything other than a place to sleep.
