”When we arrived at 10:00 p.m., there was a power outage affecting 40,000 customers in Halifax! The front desk staff were very apologetic, but it wasn't their fault. With a flashlight, they took us to our room and made sure we didn't need anything. We were, however, very disappointed with the breakfast set up. Instead of self serve for the eggs, meat and hashbrowns, this food was behind a counter with 1 server dishing out what each person requested, with her guessing the amount wanted. This made...

”This hotel was extremely maintained, clean and friendly staff. Denny’s and one bar is attached to the hotel. Tim’s, A&W and a gas station is a 2 min walk from the hotel. Lots of things to do or places to dine in only a short drive away. Highly recommend this hotel!”

”Beautiful old hotel right downtown close to everything, if you don't mind walking up/down hills. The Victorian gardens across the street was a nice spot for morning coffee. Citadel just down the street and less 20 minutes to the harbour. High quality linens and soaps were provided. Fancy nexpresso machine in the room. Tv said it was streaming capable, never tried. I WAS IN HALIFAX. :)”

”Be aware of the room you are choosing. We stayed in Aft Castle room 6. The online pictures show living areas, kitchens etc but we had one very small room and small bathroom, with no additional living areas, not representative of the photos. If you have mobility issues, this is not your room, as it is three floor walk up. As well, there is very limited parking on site, with overflow parking one block away.”

”We stayed at Brewery Park Hotel for one night while visiting Nova Scotia from Calgary to celebrate our anniversary, and it was such a wonderful experience. The property itself is beautiful in a great location with a bunch of shops, cafes and restaurants in the area, and our room was incredibly spacious with lots of windows, it was spotless, and thoughtfully maintained. ”This was an amazing property had everything we needed. Loved the adult swim from 10-11pm and a full kitchen. The only thing is to see most attractions around the Halifax area you need to rent a car.”

”The staff and our room was great, but getting to it required using the one working North elevator, whose doors close really fast, and which stop only when they hit, hard, on your body, on a stroller. We saw multiple people get hit, one old fellow dropping everything from the impact. Hope it gets fixed soon.”
