”The property is very old styled. We had to beg them to pick us from the airstrip. They had our booking, knew we were coming , marketed their ballon safaris and ignored our messages to pick us. Eventually they pucked us. One managed claimed we had not paid our accommodation despite the fact that we had paid before arrival. Another staff said our accommodation was fully paid in advance. Sarova is much better. We visited Sarova they welcomed very well even though we were not staying there....

Excellent food with lots of options (plus a full bar), and the staff really go out of their way to ensure the comfort of each and every guest. The tents have lots of space and all the comforts we are used to at home. If you’re booking a safari game drive with them, do insist on a Toyota Land Cruiser over the Land Rover.”

I stayed for 4 nights with my wife on an 18 day honeymoon, and out of all the places we stayed, including 5-star hotels in Cairo, Nairobi, Dubai, and the Maldives, we had the best service and the best food of all at Elephant Pepper. ”This is a camp so amenities are pretty basic. That is very understandable. If you’re a light sleeper, you might not find the area conducive for you as hippos could get loud at night. My biggest issue with this camp is that by default they would clean the tent and rearrange your stuff. I get that cleaning is essential but as someone who functions in a very specific manner, I’d hate to find out that my things have been rearranged. I talked to the camp manager about this and he wasn’t apologetic at...
