8. Queen Room - SQR

”The room was very clean. The bathroom is teeny, but was also clean. We spent an hour trying to figure out how to get the TV to work, only to find out that the cable box needed to be rebooted. Also, we contacted the host directly - once via text and once via phone and he didn't get back to us either time. Lastly, when we booked this room we had no idea it was actually a motel room. We were in a building with multiple single rooms and it was very loud during the night with people coming in...

9. Mountain View Loj overlooking the majestic Adirondack Mountains & Ausable River

Jay

”Our stay at Mountain View Loj exceeded our expectations. The house was clean and comfortable for our sibling vacation--3 couples and two of our adult children. Beds were comfortable, AC worked during the brief heat wave, the kitchen was well equipped, and check out was as easy as any vacation rental. When we did have a little problem, the owner was over in 10 minutes to fix it. The property manager was very responsive to any questions. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time to stay....

”This Lake Placid cottage was perfect for us! We were in town for the horse show, and very much appreciated being able to come home after a long day to hang out on the porch while the dogs played in the yard. The location is great, too. Close to everything, and an especially easy walk to the public beach area on Mirror Lake, which was a major perk.We ended up using both bedrooms and the sofa bed in the upstairs living room for a friend who came to visit for the weekend. All in all, it was a...

”Beautiful house and location. Just what we were looking for in terms of size, rooms and features. Gorgeous property with sensational views. We enjoyed watching the many deer who roam the property.Renter BEWARE: We found two mice inside the home, numerous outside, and could hear others through the walls. I notified the owner, who quickly responded and called an exterminator. I would imagine this will be an ongoing issue and I would never rent this house again because of it.Other negatives with...
