The noise from the freeway is definitely noticeable at night. Free coffee and doughnuts in the lobby are a nice touch!! They give you a coupon for $12 for a drink in the lounge.”

”Good location in Buellton, walking distance to the Firestone Walker Brewery for a meal and a good beer, near Mother Hubbards for a delicious breakfast, and close to the freeway too. There is no pool, and no area to sit outside but there is a coin operated washer and dryer on site next to the ice machine and vending machines. I’m single and travel alone, the room was great. Hair dryer, iron and ironing board, coffee maker, and microwave oven, and a small fridge. They offered a complimentary...

”They have a beautiful swimming pool but it’s closed. Couldn’t get a straight answer why it was off limits. It was obviously maintained very well. Beautiful gardens.”

”Like other Motel 6 properties, the rooms were clean. The location was very convenient and close to Solvang. We appreciate that dogs can stay free here. The grass area in front where you can let your dogs relieve themselves could be better maintained. We saw a disposable razor and a few other potentially harmful items tossed there. Other than that, the value for price was good.”

”It was a pleasure staying at this hotel. The town itself is super cute, but the hotel is even more charming. There’s a cozy fireplace in the lobby and outdoors, plus a lovely garden with fountains and roses. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and parking very convenient. Thank you, Wine Valley Inn, for your wonderful hospitality. Tip for travelers: plan your drive to or from Santa Barbara during the daytime so you can enjoy the lake views and stop at the CachumaMuseum ”

”This was our first time using a no staff type hotel. Our only issue was needing to speak with anyone after hours 9:00 p.m. There was no remote for the TV cable which had to be brought over the next day. I would recommend nicer towels. The ones in our room were dingy and rough. That being said, it was a lovely experience, and we'd most certainly stay there again and recommend it.”

Location is on the edge of Solvang’s main drag, but I didn’t mind the walk to the center of town; Solvang is very small anyway ”
