The owner had thankfully stocked jam, milk, vegemite, cereals etc as well which was very handy - there was always food when the kids got hungry at odd hours and most places were closed due to Easter long weekend. ”Property was in a great location. Island beach is so beautiful. Very well equipped and the slow cooker was a bonus. Overall nice and clean, although there were empty bottles and cans all over the fish cleaning sink which we couldnt use. This was cleaned up however at the end of our trip. Beds were a bit firm for my liking but clean and warm. Had some visits by local kangaroos, wallabies and the beautiful birds on KI and also some local chooks! A bit of a hick up when we arrived to locked doors...

The deck area is great and kayaks were a bonus that was appreciated and used. Only regret was not staying longer than 4 nights on KI as there is a lot to do and there are fairly long distances between attractions.”

”We stayed 3 nights at Fairview Beach House. Great view. Short walk to the water. Sleeps up to 11, great for a family get away. Could do with a good garden tidy up, front and back. View a bit cut off. And a bit of TLC with the internal doors. But all needs provided for and in good proximity to Kingscote for supplies. Emu Bay is a beautiful spot. Will be back one day.”

”2 couples for 4 nights- we Loved the spaciousness & location of this home. Linen & beds could be updated. We were shocked to discover we had accidentally almost caused a fire in the appliance cupboard (damage) and Dwayne was wonderful & understanding about the whole matter.”

”Over about a week we stayed in a luxury tent and an ocean front villa. Both were clean and well equipped. Wifi wasn’t the best. The luxury tent had a very small kitchenette and of course didn’t have great insulation so when the sun came out the walls got warm. When it was windy the tent flapped around a bit. The villa was excellent. Spacious with everything you need and parking right by the door. There’s a private balcony but it had a privacy wall blocking any view while seated. Location is...
