”Our room was clean and very comfortable. The heating/cooling system was effective and the bed was cozy. The breakfast was also quite nice. Staff was friendly and the lobby/dining area were clean and inviting. My one complaint was that our “king sized” bed was definitely only a queen, but that hardly merits a major issue. Would definitely stay here again.”

”Historic hotel! Awesome corner king room. Yes, trains go by regularly but we had no problems with the "toot toooot" bc of the RR tracks nearby. Non-smoking so theres a cute court yard out back you can go if needed, parking is there too... very convenient to Dartmouth Hitchcock also. For the price well worth it!”

However, soundproofing inside the hotel was lacking - you could hear all of the noise in the hall as if they were in your room and the guests above sounded like a herd of elephants. ”Nice hotel on Lake Winnipesaukee with its own beach, hot tub and fire pit. Extremely clean and well kept, good breakfast with many choices. Comfortable bed, every room has a balcony with views of the lake. Our only complaint is the noise--from traffic on the adjacent very busy road and from with the hotel, where sound proofing is unfortunately not adequate.”
