”Booked a room for 2 x nights and unfortunately didn’t get to see either of them due to things popping up and not being able to leave home. I do know that the stay would have been great though because of the last experience there. The team were still accomodating to the idea and plan of late arrival, which would have been easy and straight forward according to the instructions given before the time of check in. Looking forward to coming back and actually being able to enjoy the time away. ”

”The room was a bit neglected cobwebs in The corners of the room and bugs next to the bath and dead plants at the doorway and doorway had not be swept . Tiny bath towels . Porridge was supplied but not enough milk , there was jam but no butter . We decided to not have breakfast and had it in Ararat instead.stead . ”

”Everything was as expected. Property manager really helpful and friendly but also left us to it once we were sorted. The unit is compact but has had a really nice update to make it really comfortable for a short stay. The heating was really nice and effective which is essential for a Halls Gap autumn stay! The only things that would have made it perfect was if there were some wine glasses available in the unit and if the stove top worked effectively, but we just worked around these things :-) ”

”This is a really beautiful property with incredible views and very quiet bit it’s not easy to get to with 17 steps to follow. So make sure you get there in the light. You also can’t drive directly to the house you have to put your bags in a cart and pull it the last 80 metres. We didn’t realise this and turned up in the dark after a very big day. Also for some reason we couldn’t get the directions either. Fortunately we had someone to call who could get all the details to us and we could get in....

”Great stay. It is a beautiful place and the cabin was spacious and comfortable - as was the common room. The kitchen is outdoors and provides cooking utensils but don't expect anybody else to clean for you. Also you should provide your own food. As it is pretty far out the landscape and the stars are amazing. If the owner is not at the reception when you arrive, just give him a call. He is friendly and fun and can give you some tips for hiking. We did enjoy our stay.”
