Meistä:
Grouse Haven -mökki rakennettiin nykyisillä omistajilla vuosina 2003-2004. Mökki oli nimeltään Grouse Haven, koska rakentaessamme kuulimme Grouse-lintuja alueella “rummuttelu”. Mökki on yksinäinen punaisessa mäntymetsässä, jonka ympäristössä on paljon äiti-luontoa. Siellä on vaellusreittejä ja hiihtolatuja. 90 hehtaarin kiinteistön alaosassa on myös piknik-alue, jonne pääset retkeilyreiteillä. Mökki sijaitsee Finger Lakesin sydämessä lähellä Penn Yania, Hammondsportia, Watkins Gleniä, 2–3 km: n päässä Keuka Lake State Park -puistosta, Finger Lakes -viinitiloista, mikropanimoista, Keuka-yliopistosta ja muusta.

This house was amazing. Very private and everything listed was spot on accurate. The hosts were very easy to communicate with which we didn't really need to as everything was great. Loved the property with the fire pit and walking trails. Only suggestions I have would be to add a mattress topper on downstairs bedroom bed for added support and the shower head in bathroom was extremely low flow making showering longer due to the extra time needed to rinse off as water pressure was so low which I totally understand being a rental and also did not take away from the truly outstanding property and home this is, truly 5 stars. We will for sure be coming back for a stay again. We love love love that it is pet friendly as well!

Perfect remote setting in the woods. The cabin was good. I did find the cabin decor a little cluttered, but that’s a personal preference. Furniture was comfortable, cabin was clean and absolutely everything we needed was ample.

Great setting

Nice cabin and great setting. We loved the privacy and nature that surrounded us. Couldn't find the trails that are listed on VRBO. It's better to go to Keuka Lake State park about 2-3 miles ago where they have marked trails

Perfect Cabin in the Woods Experience!

Grouse Haven near Keuka Lake was the perfect cabin in the woods experience I was hoping for! A quiet "away from it all" location, but 15 minutes to "town" if you need! The cabin was exceptionally clean and the owner had it nice and toasty and the fireplace going when I arrived. The listing photos are very accurate - looked exactly as I expected base on the photos, from the cabin and rooms, to the property. Everything is provided: cookware, utensils, bath and bed linens - it was super easy for me to settle in from the moment I arrived. It was me, my dog, the birds, and nature. They have a great trail just across the road, dog loved it and we enjoyed it several times during the stay. I absolutely loved the porch - perfect for reading or relaxing in the sun. While Roku was available and I did watch a couple of movies at night, I enjoyed reading a book I had brought and there were puzzles (a favorite of mine) to pass the time. It was wonderful to disconnect from the world for a few days and I intend to repeat the adventure! The owner was very responsive and did a quick check-in with me via text to make sure all was well. If you are looking for a place to get away and enjoy what nature has to offer, this is the cabin. Felt like home for a few days.

A nice weekend getaway

We wanted to have a disconnected weekend in a cabin and got exactly what we were looking for. Everything worked well. The signage near the road made it easy to find and the maple syrup was great.

Peaceful getaway

Perfect location. While close to local wineries we decided to just relax at the cabin. Plenty of games, puzzles, and DVDs. Smart tv available for streaming. Lots of natural light with the windows. Also with all of the windows we had lots of entertainment with bird watching. Bird seed was available at the cabin to help attract a variety of birds. Able to see a couple of deer walk up the driveway at dusk. Cabin was very clean and warm, cozy is a great descriptor. Had all of the amenities you would want. Hope to go back but next time in warmer weather so we can enjoy outside adventures. Porch was sizable for gatherings with a large table. There was a firepit just outside. Phyllis was very responsive and even checked to make sure we made it to the cabin.

Relaxing retreat

My husband and I enjoyed our 3 night visit to Grouse Haven. It was extremely peaceful and relaxing. The surrounding area was beautiful and we enjoyed walking in the snow covered woods on the property. We enjoyed our time at Grouse Haven so much that we hated to leave. Phyllis was a delight to get to know and was very helpful to us. We can’t wait to make a return visit to this lovely property.

Quiet hidden treasure in the woods

A beautiful property with character and charm. It was a perfect start to our holiday. My two pups loved running around in the snow cover forest. We were able to see a few deer walking through the woods. We got a little lost at the beginning due to GPS listing the property on the wrong side of the road but a quick call to the amazing host we were able to find it no problemable to find it

Grouse Cabin

Host communicated as needed--cabin was nice and private but was VERY disappointed as it was advertised "on beach" but was actually in the woods! Keuka park nearby has beach area but cabin is NOT on beach. Also water pressure was horrible--very low--hard to wash dishes and drip showers are difficult. The cabin was clean and well stocked with little "extras" you might need. Knew we were traveling "off/low season" but it was still hard to find things to do. Still nice place to stay ...
