My family enjoyed our stay. I appreciated the thought that the owners clearly put into maximizing the space. The kitchen was well-stocked in terms of pans, dishes, etc. We loved the wood-burning fireplace, and the mattress on the pullout couch was the most comfortable pullout couch mattress I’ve encountered. We enjoyed the hot tub and swimming in the surprisingly warm outdoor pool in the dead of winter!
In terms of cons, we had difficulty at first finding the until. It being “1202,” we were thrown off that it was located in Building Block 10/11. (If I missed an instruction to that effect, I apologize.) The building itself is fairly rundown; this particular unit is much nicer than the building it is in. Our biggest complaint is that the unit was very cold on arrival and took about 18 hours to reach 68-70 degrees. (We realized later that the fireplace’s flu was open when we arrived.) Also, the master bedroom was much hotter than the living room area – so hot that I chose to sleep on the pullout couch one night. It would be wonderful if an adjustment could be made to the radiators to normalize the output of heat between the bedroom and the living room.
I would stay there again, for sure, but it wouldn’t be my first choice.
