”I travel a lot for business and this was an extremely clean property. I was hesitant, as in the past Red Roof Inns were not a place I would stay. This is an exception to the rule. The front desk staff was pleasant and accommodating. The room was very clean, smelled good, and had a comfortable bed and great AC. I would stay again.”

”The Boxwood was perfectly fine for a comfy nights sleep and a warm shower. Great location!”

”Was not clean… Rusty parts in the bathroom, unclean flooring, And supposedly the manager was burning incense in the lobby, which caused an allergic reaction. It was an awful experience.”

”This is a cute little chalet. It slept the four of us just fine. Just a couple of issues, baby mothes throughout, back burner is burnt out on stove, light bulb was burned out upstairs, and overall the decor feels dated except for the new sofa. Also, outdoor chairs were dirty and filled with spider webs.”

”This hotel is nice and in a beautiful location. It is close to Main Street Blowing Rock with its many shops and restaurants. Unfortunately the hotel restaurant was closed for renovations which we did not know when we booked. That was a disappointment. If you like to travel with your dog, this is the place for you.”

”The price was reasonable for the room. I appreciate the wood laminate flooring, which seems much cleaner than carpeting. We appreciated the new decorative tile accents also. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the window coverings though. There was no sheer curtain to partially let in light, and only a very thick black curtain, which was full of little tiny holes. Otherwise, the property was convenient and acceptable. Also, a little Manuel with area, restaurants, and television directions...

”Went to Hickory for a family event. This was the perfect place to stay. The pool and backyard were relaxing. Charlene and her family were incredible hosts.”

”Everything was excellent apart from the garden furniture it was nice to have a private outdoor space but the cushions on the garden furniture were dirty and some were missing this we thought let the property down that otherwise was perfect”

”The location of The Embers can’t be beat if you want to visit the town of Blowing Rock. The rooms are well appointed with balconies and rocking chairs. We enjoyed our stay”

”This is a very well-maintained older property that is convenient to central Blowing Rock. You could park here and enjoy the town without driving. Although close in, it was quiet. The manager was very attentive and helpful in making suggestions for dining. The room was fairly small, but neat and clean. It's not fancy by Blowing Rock standards, but it had everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable - I slept better than at home. The property was also nicely landscaped, with lovely outside...
