  • Planning a group getaway to the lake? Then Sunny Days Lake Retreat is the perfect old-school home away from home. This rental is combined of the main house plus two casitas, giving it a fun, fishing cabin feel. These homes feature a total of 17 beds overall, so there is plenty of room for everyone here. There is a boat dock you can use, so feel free to bring your boat or rent one nearby! Take a stroll down the pier. Jump into the gorgeous lake, or float rather on the provided lily pad. In the evening, you can relax under the shaded patio, play cornhole, and even watch the Texas sunset. There are also plenty of outdoor dining tables available, so plan for a few lakeside picnics!

    Take advantage of the lake for endless fun on and in the water! Fishing is allowed along the retaining wall and from the pier, so don't forget your tackle. Rent boats and other watercraft from places like Splash Boat Rentals or Wave Chasers, both within a couple miles of this home. Sample some local cuisine at one of the many restaurants in downtown Kingsland where you can also indulge in some retail therapy. Or go on an exciting adventure and explore some unique underground hideouts at Longhorn Cavern State Park, less than 10 miles from your front door.

    Internet access is not currently available at this property.
    Due to the Hill Country location of our rentals, you may encounter situations with wildlife/pests. Please be aware of your surroundings, take caution while driving at night and supervise your children at all times while outdoors. In addition, all properties do utilize pest control maintenance on a regular basis, BUT this does not guarantee pests/bugs/critters will not be visible.

Cabins were perfect!

The cabins were perfect for our group. Clean, great location and easy access in and out. Highly recommend these cabins.

Great fun

My two sons and I stayed here for spring break and invited another couple and their kids to stay a night with us. There was plenty of room and lots of fun was had with the lake being right in the back yard. We will be back!

Overall everything on the listing was accurate. We had enough space for everyone. They place was very beautiful very spacious in the backyard. Enjoy are stayed. We will definitely come back

House and location was great we had a real good time . Bbq did not work was the only issue. We will definitely rent again .THE CARPENTERS

Sunny Days good for large groups

Accurately described as kind of a fishing camp, the kitchen and living area was a great place for our group of 10 guys having a college reunion. The grounds and lake were wonderful. Beds and baths are ok for a group of men and/or kids. The two additional casitas were great to have as additional sleeping options. Nothing fancy but priced reasonably and was good for our group. This was our 2nd visit, and we would return again.

LBJ Lake house

Older house which we did not mind at all. Main house has lots of beds in it. Beautiful yard and view. Nice boat dock. Mattresses on beds in Casitas are pretty uncomfortable. Otherwise nice place. Was clean except for a few spider webs found. We enjoyed our time there.

50th Wedding Anniversary

Beautiful setting for our Outdoor lunch with live music on the patio. Plenty of room for young children and pre teens to play. The older children played vollyball and played with the kayak. Beautiful trees, shaded yard. We used Tiki torches with citronella to get rid of flying insecects. BBQ grill worked great. Ao glad the swimming area was blocked off. There was heavy boat traffic on the river. Overall great experience.

Great vacation home on Lake LBJ

Access to the water and covered docks for your boat. Any maintenance issues where taken care of as soon as possible. We were even given times when maintenance would be showing up. Plenty of room for everyone. Love this house it was perfect for our needs.

50th Wedding Anniversary

Beautiful shaded waterfront property. Plenty of parking on the property and across the street. Public boat ramp one block from property. We LOVED the cool, green grass all the way to the water edge. EASY access into the water to swim. Grandchildren loved playing vollyball and using the kayak, and fishing. We loved Cool breeze coming off the water especially when we fished at night. Tiki torches citronella candles, spray repellants kept insects away. We used battery operated camp lights for safety at night near the water edge. We used the gas grill to cook grass fed hamburgers to perfection. There are three stoves, three ovens, three refrigerators, a microwave. We had plenty of room to serve our meals on the counter top inside. We had Burgers with all the trimmings, BBQ chicken from the oven, side dishes, veggie and fruit trays, salads, chips, dip. There was plenty of beds, futons for 17 of our guests to spend the night. There was very high boat traffic during the day. We did not put our boats in the water. I do feel like it would be better/safer boating at night. We felt safe playing in the area marked off for swimming. We took life jackets for the kids. We had yard games, Dominos, card games. Something for everyone to enjoy. There was plenty of room on the patio for a small band, sound equipment, two guitars, keyboard, Fiddle, drum, flute and backup vocals. Overall we all had a weekend of Precious Memories.

Awesome Memorial Day!

We spent Memorial Day there with my brother and his family, my best friend and his family, my girlfriend and her kids and my daughter, her fiancé and some of her college friends. There were plenty of beds for everyone, two docks for our boats, and the hot tub was great. The kitchen had what we needed also. Honestly the only complaint was some of the mattresses were uncomfortable. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

Worst ever experience

When I read the reviews it said not very clean..I just thought the pertain was picky... truly the dirtiest place I've ever paid for!!! Had several family members get other accomandations..truly awful!

Perfect home for a family of 16

This home was perfect for my big family getaway. The many beds and rooms were such an amazing factor considering we usually all bunk together and as a family of 16 you could see why we loved this home so much! The walking distance from the water was perfect! We spent all day outside and on the water. We would definitely rent this home again for another lake trip.

The Shabby Shack

What I loved most was the local manager checked in with me the first day and responded timely with any questions. I felt confident that any issues I had would be handled quickly with no problems. Now about the vaca rental, it is very shabby. The pictures online do not depict the condition of the home, it has a lot of wear and tear. However, overall I give it 4 stars. It totally accommodated my entire family. There were 15 of us that stayed in the home and there was plenty of room. The location is also a plus. A private dock right on the LBJ and hottub. The property advertises a suana but it was not working. When we arrived it was full of life jackets and spider webs. It would be a nice addition if it worked, as advertised. The kitchen is also a nice size, big enough to prepare meals for a large group. If your looking for all the bells and whistles, this place is not for you. If your looking for a place to stay and enjoy vacation with family and/or friends this place is perfect. Definitely a place we'd rent again.

Family Trip

The location and lake view of this property are amazing! My family of 20 had a wonderful time. The house is older but all of the beauty of the lake and surrounding area makes it well worth the stay.. the property manager was extremely helpful with any questions we had.

Older Lake House with Casitas

This is an older lake house with a hot tub and sauna. The main house is nice but could use some updates. There was no firepit which is surprising. The mattresses in all the rooms are very old and uncomfortable. The kitchen is equipped with most necessities. The two casitas could really use updating and the beds were terrible. They smelled musty and could have used a good cleaning. The sauna stopped working after day 3 and we just gave up on it. The dining table only seats 5 so we were constantly shuffling chairs. We were told to make sure to put the trash out for pick up but not what day. This location just needs a redo. It's a beautiful location.

Great location!!

Plenty of beds and great location. Water was Shallow enough for younger (10 and below) kids to play in lake for hours everyday. Kayaks were available for adults and teenagers. Only issue was the cleanliness of house. There was food still on floor (Apple core and chips) and spiderwebs throughout the house. Easily Resolved with a more thorough cleaning.
